  Dyno Vid of my Brother's 93 RX-7!
Posted by: Rbadboy21 - 02-12-2006, 03:27 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (45)

This is a vid of my brother Rich dynoing his 1993 R1 RX-7.
Mods: Streetported 13B w/2mm 2 piece oem seals and too much overlap, BNR Stage 3 Parallel Twins, Tanabe Coilovers, Fikse FM5s (255f, 275r), Catz HIDs, Intake, full exhaust (PFS), and lots of other goodies.

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://videos.streetfire.net/Player.aspx?fileid=32A0CB94-880A-4E8C-B87C-069349BD885A">http://videos.streetfire.net/Player.asp ... 9349BD885A</a><!-- m -->

My brother is also a part owner of Gotham Racing (gothamracing.com) out in Kaline, TX. The car was tuned by Steve Kan. The first couple of runs resulted in 366 rwhp @13.5 psi, with the last being 421 rwhp @17.5 psi. My brother is the 2nd owner this car and it is def one of the cleanest 7s I have seen.

By the way, this is a dyno that measures the hp at the hub, not the wheels (have to take the wheels off)
Also the shop owner said that multiple people that have dynoed here have taken their car to a Dyno Jet and saw a 5% increase of hp at the rear wheels.
So the car is def. has the potential to make 440-450 rwhp.

Enjoy!

Ryan

  Hey Guys, quick request
Posted by: Dave - 02-12-2006, 12:02 PM - Forum: Lounge - No Replies

I was looking through my computer last night and realized that when I transferred some of the folders over from my old hard drive, a lot of pictures of my cars didn't transfer. I don't know how this happened, or why, so don't ask. As a result, I'm missing a lot of pictures that you guys have taken and that I have taken over the years.
Could you please send me any pictures that you have of any of my cars except the SE-Rs (listed below)
93 Supra brown
91 Supra red
91 240 black
Thanks a ton. Send them to <!-- e --><a href="mailto:93anthracite@gmail.com">93anthracite@gmail.com</a><!-- e --> please

Did you ladies get your tickets...to the GUN SHOW?

Well I did. Sort of.

I spent alot of money there.

You may remember:

Well, the wood stock is made for a little chinese person, and the pull was way too short. Very uncomfortable. So 110 bucks later, I remedied the situation:

Tapco adjustable stock (the butt extends outward) 30rd magazine, scope and reciever mount, and a muzzle brake, which you can't really see in the picture.

Here's a closeup of the trigger assembly, scope, mag, and grip:

The mag was 15, the brake 15, the stock 83 (taxed Sad) the scope assembly I bought ages ago for 20 and never bothered to put on.

I was a little disappointed with the magazine -- but it's not the mag's fault. Since I have a chinese SKS, the trigger assembly is very different from all of the other SKS's. So I can still USE the 30 round mag, but it's not detatchable. I have to remove the trigger assembly to remove the mag. This isn't really a big deal, I'll never be in a situation that requires me to have to re-load 30 rounds in 10 seconds, but still...it would have been cool. The scope is some kind of sniper-ish scope with "MOA" rangefinding units on the reticle. Hey, it was cheap, whatever. I'm a little concerned that ejected shells will strike the scope, but I found a 3.95 shell guard that spins the shell downward. Might get that.

Anyway, just thought I'd share.

Another Awesome piece of MM Memorabilia
Posted by: Ryan T - 02-11-2006, 01:43 AM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (10)

My girlfriend knitted this giant MM blanket for me. She's been working on it for the past several monthes and just finished it up today. Its sorta a 5th anniversary present (and ironically MM's 5 year anniversary is this year).

We added it up and this is the honest truth, there is enough yarn in that blanket to make a full lap of VIR full course.

*******VERY IMPORTANT...try and show up at chasers as close to 7:30 as possible. At that point will we will assess the weather and make the proper adjustments.

The trip will take LONGER if there is snow on the roads.

People not leaving from Harrisonburg call me at 540.820.6007 for updates on the trip.

  Sheared off bolt head.
Posted by: Nis01 - 02-10-2006, 09:15 PM - Forum: Technical Discussion - Replies (5)

Well.. I managed to shear off the head of a 10mm bolt in the engine bay today. Does anybody have a drill and bolt extractor I could borrow sometime soon? Please let me know if you do. I've never attempted to extract a bolt before so any information or expertise would be welcome.
