Heading Out to Oregon Trail Pro Rally
Posted by: Jvimpty - 04-19-2006, 05:43 PM - Forum: Events - Replies (7)

Hey guys/gals,

I am heading out to the Oregon Pro Rally today. sorry I have to miss the last meeting of the semester. Tune into http://www.rallyblogs.com/quantumrallysport for updates during and after the event.

Wanted to remind everyone af a few rally events coming up:

DC Rally Cross in Orange VA, details at http://www.dcrally.com (street cars no cage can run at these)

Rally-America Championship series continues with STPR (wellsboro PA) June 3rd. I am renting a big farmhouse at this event (it sleeps 30+) so I hope to get some folks motivated out to party/spectate as it is the closest in the championship to VA. more info @ http://www.rally-america.com

Rally WV based out of Elkins WV, is a NASA event, and will take place June 24th on terrific roads near Adoplh, WV. This should be a great event, with a short enjoyable drive to get to it.

Rally WV is looking for volunteers to work (think corner working in the woods at the best spectator spots) contact me if interested, wormyworm (at gmail d.t com)

Hope you all have a great weekend, I'll try to post some photos/video from oregon trail when I return.

Jeremy

Starting a pool: When will Gerald finish his racecar?
Posted by: Evan - 04-19-2006, 01:42 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (50)

Its been quite some time since the Doggfather of MM has turned a wheel in anger on track, and given the current state of his racecar, might still be some time before he does.
So, since he is now residing in a big pimpin hizzouse with 2 car garage and plenty of parking, he is officially out of excuses, so to provide motivation and at the same time poke fun, Ive decided to start a pool.
The rules are, the pool will be based on the month that his integra racecar is fixed, operable, goes to the track and operates properly for a full day. Doesnt have to be a w2w race, but it has to get through a whole day without any major mechanical problems that park the car, and it has to have all his intended parts on it (ie - ITA/H4 legal with new motor and new suspension)

$10 for a month, starting in 2007. (although any bet before 2009 is well against the odds anyway)
If angels descend from heaven and G puts the racecar on track in 2006, he gets the pool.

  NOVA guys/gals... SLOW DOWN
Posted by: Kaan - 04-19-2006, 10:51 AM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (10)

Ok so yes i just got a reckless ticket earlier this month. I have a lawyer, etc. It should be a beatable ticket... at least heavily reduced.

3 guys at work got reckless tickets today! Apparently they had 495 in the springfield area on lock down. County and State boys ... one shooting lazer, the others chasing people down. for the love of God slow down! The pace of traffic doesnt mean crap... they are writting and convicting to the letter of the law... and they have expanded the work zone signs around springfield... so pay attention and dont pay DOUBLE!

that is all... i dont want the rest of you getting $500 lawyers for $600 fines.

Hope your ok Hunter, not Hunter Brown

Was headed down port around 1:30 to class notice a cop in rockingham lot and there i see an awful site. Hunters BMW was t-boned in the drivers side from the front door to the rear door, didnt see the other car, but i saw him out talkin to the cop so im pretty sure hes good. Just a shame bout the car. Dont see him on the forum that often so just wanted to notify his friends and was wondering if anyone had any updates or info. Correct me if i am wrong but its hard to confuse it being as there arent that many 5 series beamers cruzin around that looked like his.

  Room Arrangements for Hyperfest 06
Posted by: white_2kgt - 04-18-2006, 05:46 PM - Forum: Events - Replies (17)

Sounds like this is going to be a well attended event, so might be better to post this stuff in another thread, I'll start.

1) Chad - Room at HamptonINN across from Shoney's. Open Spot Friday/Saturday Takers? We will split the room. Right now the rate is 97/night, probably less when I checkout w/ my AAA card.

If you have a room for share post up (not likely), if you need a place to stay post up.
