football cleats
Posted by: Maengelito - 06-14-2006, 08:33 PM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (1)

hey fools

i got a pair of adidas mid top (grid iron mid d) size 10.5 football cleats that i dont use anymore. they've only been worn maybe 4 or 5 times but they gave my feet blisters. i cut up the padding on the back of the heel a bit, but that didnt help me out so i dont like wearing them anymore. aside from some of the padding removed in the back of the inside of the cleats, they look practically brand new. chances are your feet are shaped differently than mine and these will be comfortable.

they can be yours if you buy me a beer or two next time i see you, or if you wanna throw in a couple of bucks to cover shipping if you need them sooner rather than later.

No matter what it is, if you want it in production, post it up here.

For me, this is the only new one I like, based on the 1950's Holden FJ sedan....

Attended a luncheon today to celebrate enlisted pilots who went through pilot training in 1942 and apparently Carroll Shelby was one of them. So yeah, I met him.

Pictures as soon as the Chief I attended it with get them back to me.

 E30 Police Chase

http://www.gkko.com/videos/3393/bmw-police-chase/

I love these videos. My favorite is the DSM chase one, but this is pretty good too. I do wonder a few things:

#1: Since when to E30 M3's have "240 horsepowerrrrrrrr."?
and
#2:How much horsepower could a chip possibly add to the "Corvette Engine" in the 9C1 package? Pssh.

And finally, my biggest beef, when the guy says the BMW "breaks down" it's very clear it's just a slow-motion clip of when the E30 took it's U-Turn.

Still, fun to watch.

NoVa --> WV Ride, Saturday 6/17
Posted by: .RJ - 06-13-2006, 01:23 PM - Forum: Motorcycles - Replies (25)

This ride will be at least 150 miles - I have not calculated the route distance - plan accordingly.

IN!:

RJ
Andrew
Apoc
Ross
Edwin (from H-T)

*Meet at the haymarket Sheetz at 10:30 am, to fill up with gas, snacks, etc.
*Forecast is for temps in the high 80's.
*Andrew says there is a good restaurant on 211 just outside shenandoah national park, so we can stop there for lunch.
*Assuming the roads are in good shape, we'll ride 'the pace' for most of the ride. Faster than a sunday cruise to church, slower than "burn the michelin man off your pilot powers"
*Make sure you have enough gas to make it to haymarket
*Bring water, cash, etc....
*I will be in full leather (disclaimer)
*Print/Write down the route and put it on your tank
*When we go through shenandoah park on 211 we'll all be riding the speed limit - no excuses. The locals and cops do not want bikers up there using 211 as their own personal kneepuck testing ground. I've read that there are rumble strips at the entry to a lot of the turns now and the cops will be out on weekends pulling people over for whatever they can. Make sure your inspection, insurance, registration is up to date (*cough* andrew *cough*).
