Our second daughter is working on her license and will likely face some restrictions her older sister did not. I'm just curious what kind of driving restrictions you guys had when you first got your license, if any. (no driving at night for x months, no more than x people in the car, no driving if any grade less than c...)

Registration is now open for NASA-MA's Fall Finale 'HPDE & TT only" weekend at Summit Point on Nov 7-8. A Hyperdrive and touring laps for charity will be offered as well, but there will be no roadracing:

Registration is also now open for the 90min kart enduro that Saturday night @ SPK washington circuit:

Event page is now up as well:

I will be HPDEing this event if anyone would like to join. This is a perfect opportunity for those old and new. No racing will be going on this weekend so tons of HPDE time that will most likely not be invaded by race cars crashing cuz they wont be there! I will most likely also be doing the kart enduro, and if youve never driven SPK karts, your missing out big time!!!
Also, for those interested in road racing, they have Hyperdrives which are easy sessions on track, only cost 50 bucks but are worth every penny!!! Itll be a cool november day so you most likely will not have to worry about cooling for you car, and one HPDE session wont do that much harm to brakes/tires. So if youve been eyeing doing a track event, try a hyper-drive!

I decided rather than getting a new car Im going to go ahead and try my luck on 2 wheels. Im taking the motorcycle safety course this weekend and getting my license after that. I was looking at this bike thats about 15 mins north of jmu. Wondering what everyone else thought. I want to know what I should look for and maybe if anyones bored if they want to come and look at it with me? I wont have my license for probably another week or two but I was hoping he could drop it off at my apartment or something till I do.

18,500 miles
couple scratches
Im going to offer $3900 and see what he says. I know $4300 is already pretty cheap for this bike but might as well try.

I'm gonna have my coworkers over to play ODST and have some snacks/beer next Tuesday. Others are welcome to come hang out too. I'm gonna try to line up a second flat screen TV so we can use system link and play 4 at a time. Might also alternate with regular Halo 3 and play some team slayer against each other.
Lemme know if you wanna come so I can plan out the snacks and beer. This will be the soft housewarming before the Wrath of the Turducken.
BIP! BAP! BAM!

did you grab Chipotle at Tysons today?
trying to figure out if I should feel bad for not saying "hi" or be content with my decision to not try to flag you down.
Actually, regardless of the response I'd still not feel bad. Nothing comes between this fat man and his food.

I don't care about fire rating, I only need one that will hold a few shotguns and I need a lock that can't be open in 14 seconds. Is it really just as easy as picking one that satisfies my needs? Any brands I should stay away from?
