2002 Yamaha YZF600R Re-Assembly
Posted by: ViPER1313 - 03-11-2011, 02:32 PM - Forum: Technical Discussion - Replies (5)

This is a long shot, but I know that a lot of people here own / work on bikes.

I don't know if anyone on here has ever owned or worked on a YZF600R in particular (or anything similar from Yamaha). There is an air hose (labeled as the Carburator vent tube?? or something similar by the manual) that runs from the front left ferring air box to **somewhere**, and has a T fitting in the middle that runs to a clear check tank that sits below the motor/left side ferring and has a valve on the end of it to allow you to clear gunk that has accumulated out of the check tank.

For the life of me, I can't figure out where the end of that vent hose (running into the engine bay) is supposed to re-attach to. I don't see any breather nipples, etc on the carbs or block. The bike seems to run fine with it unattached to anything :dunno: Anyone have a clue here?

 Mid-Atlantic Track Video Guide
Posted by: D_Eclipse9916 - 03-10-2011, 10:41 AM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (13)

I mentioned in a project thread that I would be compiling footage from Mid-Atlantic tracks and detail a lap around each track with the corner name and its "nickname" so people know what your talking about when your coming out of "hogpen". A few people, maybe one person really liked the idea, and I thought it would be a good MM resource for tracks youve never been to so that you can familiarize yourself. I put together this first video as a "test". I am looking for concerns, critique, comments, suggestions, and ideas to make this more informative and actually useful. So here it is:

 Photography

Hey I am new to Madison Motorsports and I am a huge gearhead. I also love photography, especially automotive photography. If anyone is interested letting me take some picture of their cars or bikes that would be great. I just want to do anything to get back around cars. It really sucks not having a car down here due to the fact that I am a freshman. I am applying for a job at the Bluestone as a photographer, so having the opportunity to build my portfolio with subject matter I love would be nice. If anyone is interested I could upload some my automotive pictures that i do have. If anyone is interested let me know, shoot me a text at 410-952-7931 or email me at gray2ct@dukes.jmu.edu.

 WTB: Wheels For Talon
Posted by: ViPER1313 - 03-09-2011, 06:04 PM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (4)

Looking for a set of 17x8 wheels, 5x114.3 bolt pattern, +35 to +40 offset. Anyone got some they want to sell, or know someone who is selling some on another board? I prefer 5-spoke designs if that helps.

Anyone else going, or interested in going? Group1 seems to have a bit of space, Group 2 was kind of a hassle to get into but luckily I had an old email from Laura that i forwarded along to them.

And, this is my first time running with FATT - anyone have prior experience with them?

Friend of mine back home is selling his GTI. Really nice car. He barely drove the thing and always kept it under a cover.

 Compomotive wheels
Posted by: ScottyB - 03-08-2011, 09:15 PM - Forum: Technical Discussion - Replies (4)

not really technical, or a discussion, but just some heads up on the news that Compomotive finally has a decent US distributor. being a fan of rally cars and motorsport wheels in general, this is pretty kickass news. they aren't priced too bad either.

Link to my craigslist ad:

If there is any interest, please email me at c.procopio@gmail.com. I'm flexible on the price for those in MM, and have listed it a bit higher on CL due to the low offers I always get. This definitely needs the few things I listed in the ad, and it's not a project I want to take on. I bought another 328is as shown in my "intro" post, so this one needs to go!

I can send more pictures and answer any questions you may have, just let me know.
