  Scorpio SR-i900 Motorcycle alarm
Posted by: Sully - 06-05-2011, 02:23 AM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (1)

Selling my Scorpio SR-i900 and the factory install harness for a 06-09 GSX-R 600/750. It will work with any motorcycle, you just have to use the wire-it yourself kit which is included or buy a install harness from Scorpio. The alarm comes in the original box and all the paperwork that was sent with it when I bought it from Scorpio.

Plus I waterproofed the perimeter sensor so you don't have to worry about it getting wet. They are not waterproofed from the factory. Used a foodsaver bag and some silicon and electrical tape. It could be prettier but it works perfectly.

Had on the bike for over a year now and never really used it becasue my bike barely gets used anymore. You can read up on all the features on scorpio's website and see what I paid for it when I bought it.

Asking $300 for it

Here is a link to the website with the alarm and all the extras I got with it

Images of what you get will be up soon

So the 240sx is up for sale now, I upgraded to a Candy White 2006 MkV GTi. I got it fully loaded basically, Leather, climate control, 6 CD changer, and sunroof. Don't have any serious plans for it currently besides maybe a chip this summer. Here are a few pics!

*This car was daily driven by me in the summer, spring, and fall for the last 2 years while I have been in school. It has never been driven in the snow and I have kept it under a car cover during the winter time. It has proven very reliable and should not need much over the next few years as I have changed out most everything minus the engine and tranny. I have disclosed everything about the car, as too not waste your time or my own. Runs absolutely perfect, and it boosts great. It is a very quick car and clean car.

*Reason for selling the car- I just got a great job opportunity and finally need a car with AC to commute to an office. I have also gotten into the trouble with speeding this past year and need to get into a slower car for a while until my insurance rates drop a bit.

Overall Condition
*138K on the chassis, fairly low mileage
*5 speed swapped (Professionally done)
*Power steering, no A/C
*96-98 Kouki S13 SR swap(type x 97-98). Supposedly it was low mileage when it was installed, but of course you can't know for sure. Since it's a 96-98 though, it probably has fewer miles on it than older SRs. It was swapped in shortly before the previous owner bought it in Sept. '07, and the car has maybe 15k miles on it since then.
*Clean interior. Uncracked dash. S14 SE front and rear seats. Outside, the paint could be better. It's not bad overall, but I'm pretty sure it's original and it does have its little scratches and scuffs. You can see where it's fading and chipped a little on the rear bumper.
*There's a 3-4 inch cut in the outer layer of the convertible top. It doesn't go through the inner layer, so no leaks, but it's still there.

Engine
*S14 T28 ball bearing turbo, HKS actuator @~9psi (as is you can boost up too 11 psi or about 260whp)
*Taka turbo lines
*FMIC, solid piping
*Piping Pro intake, K&N filter
*Recirculating DSM BOV setup, so it's not obnoxiously loud
*Megan turbo elbow, 3" downpipe/Catco cat, 3" Fujitsubo JASMA exhaust
*Walbro 255, Nismo FPR
*Altima electric fans
*Damper box delete

Suspension/brakes
*Eibach Sportliine springs, KYB AGX shocks
*Tanabe Sustec rear sway (stock front sway for now)
*EBC Greenstuff front pads, Hawk HPS rears

Exterior
*Orginal paint with a few scratches and dings but still in great shape for a 18 year old car.
*Canadian DTRLs (wired to come on with the headlights/parking lights)
*Amber/clear turn signals
*Multi-piece Linea Sport mesh wheels, 16x7 +22 (not very common...I believe they're Italian made for the Japanese market)

Interior
*C's short shifter, Nismo butt plug knob
*Nardi 365mm classic, HKB hub (horn and turn signals work)
*Kouki S14 SE seats
*Autometer boost, water temp, oil pressure gauges in center A/C vent
*Pioneer head unit
*Stri turbo timer

The good.
1 of about 5k convertible 240sxs ever made.

Less than 10k miles
*Slave cylinder
*Master cylinder
*New all Summer tires
*Alignment
*Miata Battery
*All alluminum radiator
*Silcone radiator hoses
*Coilpacks
*Spark Plugs
*Fuel Filter

less than 500 miles
*Alternator

The bad
*There is a small tear in the top. It is a 2 layer top so there are no leaks what so ever, just cosmetic. It has not gotten any worse since I've owned it.
* The aftermarket Oil pressure gauge currently doesn't read because you'll need a fitting for the pressure sensor to screw into the block.
*Some speakers, The current ones are pretty blown.
*There is a spot the valve cover is weeping very slightly maybe 1/4 of a quart every 3000 miles (hasn't gotten worse so I've just let it be)
* The coolant line under the intake manifold has a small crack that leaks coolant at a slow rate. I haven't had the time to fix it but I do have a new intake manifold gasket if you decide to change it out.
*Not really a need but there is a slight turbo whine, I pulled the t28 and it has very little shaft play. No oil burning, boost holds amazingly and still spools up around 2.5k. Which leads me to believe it is a very slight intake gasket leak of some sort.

  Project 1998 Jeep Cherokee Classic
Posted by: V1GiLaNtE - 06-04-2011, 12:48 PM - Forum: Member's Projects - Replies (118)

Sold the Passat a week ago. Went back and forth on what to buy.. oh what to buy.. Went on a complete ADD whim and ended up buying this 1998 Jeep Cherokee Classic.

Big thanks to Justin for the extra eye and ride up to get it. Found it on CL in Fredricksburg. Called the guy Wed talked it over and was able to make the trip yesterday. Guy was asking $3250. After test drive gave him $2900 cash and drove her home.

I was stunned at for it's age it was actually in really good condition. Owned by an older retired gentleman living in NY so his daughter and son-in-law were selling it for him.

Specs:
1998 Jeep Cherokee Classic auto
190k on the body and only 60k on a new engine installed last year(one of the cleanest engine bays I have seen)
Sport wheels(Justin is jealous) with full size spare.
FACTORY HEADUNIT w/ cassette & CD. (didn't know this was an option)
Transmission shifts smooth and 4wd works great.
Minimal underbody rust(none in typical Jeep areas)
Heat and AC work great( passat didn't have Heat)
Factory Tint
Factory Remote

The funniest thing about it is somebody painted little grateful dead bears on both driver and passenger side doors. I thought they were stickers but realized they are actually painted.. Am I JDM with "Adult Pedo-Bears"?

Overall I'm really happy with it. Complete 180 from what I'm used to with the Passat but it rides well, feels solid, and will definitely bring me some really good times..

Current Plans
Just drive until I figure out what maintenance it needs exactly. Removed all the stickers off of it and am going to Seafoam her when I get the chance.

Near Future Mods
-Hella 500 lights
-Upgrade headlight harness
-Mag light mount
-Find factory skid plates
-Find factory fog switch
-Find install Class III hitch
-Install CB and antenna
-Roof rack similar to Justin's
-Can't decide on a 2" budget boost lift or just say screw it and get 3"
-Beefier tires. Most likely 31x10.5

Anyways enough with the chatter on to the pics..(what you really care about)

First time I have ever named one of my cars(I dunno so don't ask)

So as some of you know, my seats are jacked up thanks to 165k and 16 years of no love or maintenance whatsoever. I attempted to refinish them myself when I first got the car, but my patching/filling skills werent really up to snuff, so they looked great for about... 3 days. Checkit:

Now they look like this again, but worse.

You BMW people know its a pain in the ass to find black vaders for less than $800-1k (and you have to find the listing when its about 10 minutes old or you're too late) because everyone wants them and puts them into E30s and non-M e36s. You can buy nice Dove gray ones all day everyday but that might look a little funky with the yellow.

So anyway, I'm looking for a really good upholstery shop somewhere in the area that can take my seats and properly refinish them so that they'll hold up. The driver's one could even use a little foam work. I know I'll pay out the butt for it, but If I buy another set of black vaders I'm going to get hosed anyway.

I thought I started a thread on this before, but I cant find it so here it is again
Selling my 99 daily driver with hardtop.
130k miles
I originally built it as a streetable track car, but it only ever saw the track for 2 sessions. Its been my daily driver since 2006 and been dead nuts reliable.

The good:
LSD, konis, SM swaybars, hardtop, hard dog roll bar, mazdaspeed miata springs, rare OE catless ("federal") manifold, Jeff-special sound system

The bad:
Clutch just started slipping. (new mazda clutch kit included)
driver window wont go down (assuming regulator or motor is out)
soft top has a hole in it. (hardtop included)
grapefruit sized dent from a parking garage bump in the passenger door. (I have a spare door that comes with the car)
little bit of flaking clearcoat on the front bumper
the catless exhaust manifold leaves an orphan O2 sensor (emissions only) and resulting CEL. Could fix it if you get a bung welded further down in the exhaust, but its never bothered me enough to get it fixed.

the bad stuff makes no difference for a racecar build so I thought Id offer it up as a donor before spending time I could be out in the spring weather fixing it Smile

$5k seems like a pretty good price esp with the hardtop, but Im open to offers. no lowballs. (looking at you, Olson)

I have extras that can be negotiated in with the sale like bronze 15x7 wheels which match the rollbar, wheels with snow tires, foam-ectomy seat for taller guys (Im 6'2"), harnesses, sparco evo custom mount, custom trunk fit subwoofer, spare parts.

Some of you have already seen my lack of rear tread. I'm looking for a set of four new for my 02' 330i. So far I'm choosing between 255/25/18 Continental DWS, Micheline Pilot Sport A/S Plus, and Pirelli PZero Nero all season (which are $300 less). Any pointers?
