Trackdaze is doing another event at Shenandoah course of Summit Point. Trackdaze has over 2 hours of track time PER DAY!!!!!

They also have an open skidpad available most of the day to play around on a wet skidpad forever (its too fun).

I am signed up to instruct if any of you are interested in attending id love to instruct for people I know!

This track is so close ill be driving home at the end of each day.

So I thought it was finally time to make an event page for this drift event coming up. Myself, with a close group of friends/drift buds are putting this event on. Hoping to get tons of people out and make it a fun experience for spectators as well as drivers.

The track is about 25 min from JMU, located right near Massanutten.

Been a while since Ive posted on here. Some of you may remember me. Freshman year I had a 2000 Mustang GT (the one you could hear from other side of campus) and picked up a 2006 Honda CBR 600rr. Well gone are both of those. Ive been driving around campus in a Neon trying to save money for the last 15 odds month. Well the time finally came for me to make the jump into a new car. I had been eyeing a new 2012 Mustang GT but would have needed a loan. My brothers car came up for sale and I decided to jump on it.

I have a set of LT's waiting to be installed when I pick it up. It wont be as load as the GT, but I want to hear the 6.0L. My brother had bought it recently and decided he needed a 4WD vehicle. The car was garage kept its entire life and has only a few rock chips. Im making the trip out to Colorado on the 30th to pick it up. Some might question buying a car in CO, but I know the history of it and both the original owner/my brother took extremely good care of it. Figured it make a re-entrance into the club for my senior year.

Getting this a lot yesterday (from home) and today (from work), no other internet problems, but there's like a 20% chance when I click a link in the forum, it hangs for a few seconds and I see:

Like the site's just gone. Then I reload, try again, whatever and it usually is fine again, nice and fast, until the next 20% fail roll comes up. Anyone else? :dunno:

I am sad to say that it is finally time to sell my beloved GST. I have owned the car since 2004, and it has been my daily driver since then ÔÇô IÔÇÖve put about 50,000 miles on the car in the past 7 years, and the car has been great. I recently had a child, so it is time that I move on. Many of you have seen or ridden in this car - DJ can vouch for it.

It's currently listed on craigslist for $6000 - but for mm'ers i'll let it go right now for $5000 - i need it sold asap for day care money. I'll also throw in a butt-load of extra parts for mm'ers

Now for the bad ÔÇô The car has some dents and dings, as it is a used car - but they donÔÇÖt show up well in the pictures ÔÇô mainly the front bumper (easily replaced). One of the belt squeaks some times, it goes away after a minute or two. The AC works, but not super cold, so it probably needs to be recharged. There is a trim piece in the driverÔÇÖs side door where the window buttons go that needs to be replaced. I may get around to replacing it this week, I may not. The wheels have some curb rash on them. There is a wide band gauge, but I never got around to getting the bung for the wideband sensor welded in, so IÔÇÖll throw all that in with the car if the price is reasonable. Finally the overflow tank didnÔÇÖt fit anymore after the front mount intercooler was installed, so IÔÇÖve been using a Gatorade bottle, but it actually works great (although it looks a little funny). The car could use some additional tuning, but having the wideband installed would help for that.

So I've been working on cleaning out my garage of things I don't use anymore. I've got several bigger items but distance from most of you make it prohibitively expensive to ship.

CLC 75 pocket tool backpack. This thing was super handy the whole time I was in college as I could carry it around with me. Those that wrenched with me/borrowed tools can attest, this thing will hold a TON of tools and keeps everything nicely organized while fitting in the truck of your car and not sliding around. I was able to fit a good 4 or 5 drawers from my stand up tool chest into this backpack alone. Weighed over 80lbs and everything held up great. Retails for $75. I'd take $45.











Shoulder holster. Generic and has 2 magazine slot on the opposite side. Reversible. Retail is $15. I'd take $10 plus a few dollars to ship it.



I've also got a 50 round box of .32acp of unknown origins. I fired one or two from the old box and they fired fine. Come in a plastic case. $15.
Also got some old 300 winmag laying aorund if anyone is interested in that let me know.

So I'm sure most of you saw already on Rex's FS thread that I decided to move forward with a new project, his father in law's '66 Mustang Coupe. He and Julie graciously trailered it down this weekend and I did the first obligatory wash and shine.

Here are a few pics I snapped after I cleaned up the exterior a little:













First impressions:

I mean this car really just impresses me. I am very pleased with the exterior, even without a clear coat and with some minor dings and flaws here and there. For a car that's almost as old as my parents, this thing really has been well taken care of and is in pretty good shape. It has a great presence that should only get better as I play around with it. The interior needs the most work from a cosmetic aspect in my opinion, will get to that here shortly. The motor is fantastic, it sounds great, and I love having the torque to literally shake the car while revving it in neutral. I was having a little trouble starting it due to the battery sitting for a while, but $50 and a trickle charger later and the Optima starts it up just fine

Where I'm going with it:

This will definitely not be a project like the STi where I will be dumping a ton of money into it all at once. I mean, I have responsibilities and stuff now :lol: I will upgrade stuff as I have some money to play around with. But what I feel I need to do to get it to the point of comfortable driving is:
- New transmission and aluminum driveshaft. I played around with the idea of getting this one balanced (and I still may), but I am not crazy with the feel of the T4 and I'd really like to get a T5 in there...especially since you can find them pretty cheap. The whole car vibrates under load as it sits because of the driveshaft, so the tranny swap is probably in the future

Eventually the list is:
- New wheels and tires. Preferrably something stupid wide in the rear. Thinking like an import/muscle hybrid wheel, something deep dish? Not sure yet exactly, I haven't seen anything that really jumps out at me, but I definitely don't want to do the Bullitt style wheels like everyone else does
- Modernized suspension, lowered just an inch or two
- Interior...I am not sure where to go with this exactly until I get the current interior cleaned up. It's stupid cheap to buy full interior restoration kits, which would be the obvious way to go. But I do need to get both locks working at some point haha, button up some of the gauges (speedo doesn't work, would like to add a tach / shift light), and I may eventually install a sound system. The OTHER route I would go (I'm curious to hear MM's feedback), is to rip everything out of the interior except for the dash, and put in some racing seats and a bar where the back seat would be. I mayyy eventually take the thing to the drag strip if I get it to where I want it to be.

Other than that, I'm pretty good with where the car sits. I may try to get it on a dyno with someone who knows how to tune a carb...or teach myself. I guess the only other option would be to swap it to FI. I kind of like the charm of the 4 barrel though! This is not a numbers matching car, and I clearly am not concerned with keeping it completely original or OEM...I bought this as a fun weekend car that I can cruise around in, beat on and enjoy the heck out of.

I've already gotten compliments from the neighbors :mrgreen: And as I told Julie's dad, it's in good hands with me no matter what direction I take the project :thumbup:

92 240sx coupe flat black (rattle can) with redtop sr20det. did the swap 3 years ago, been my daily never had any problems. never run over stock boost. when did the swap did, oem headgasket, timing chain, timing chain tensioner, walbro fuel pump, fmic, godspeed turbo back, new oem water pump, new oem 02 sensor, intake, godspeed fmic, mishimoto radiator, spec stage 2 clutch, greddy baffled oil pan. has autometer boost gauge and autometer oil pressure gauge (sender installedbut haven't run the wires for the gauge), heads up display. checked compression couple months ago and was within 10psi in all cylinders.Have a new headliner just needs to be cut for the sunroof.
-the bad: transmission grinds into 2nd if shift fast (new trans is 200-300, ka trans is same just have to swap bell housing), tach doesn't work (speedometer does), will need tires in a couple months, needs some new bushings, new power steering pump (SOLD)

Back at school means back to working with Mid Atlantic. I was able to spend a good five days working here and there between classes on this Jet Black M3. We had bought the car in hopes to sell it on our lot however after much discussion we are moving it through auction instead.

We decided to replace the majority of the list of course before moving it to auction as well as allowing myself to work my magic on it to correct the serious paint defects it had and bring it back to life! :twisted:

The 2 bucket method was repeated twice, with a decontamination step inbetween which included a lengthy clay bar cleansing as the car probably had NEVER been clayed before
Aquartz FE cut was also applied to the rear section of the car as there were obvious iron deposits all over the rear bumper and deck lid

Dried and put under the lights in the garage for inspection:

A full IPA wipedown was performed inbetween each correctional step.......Menzerna PL applied and curing:




While the Sealant was curring I moved my focus onto finishing up the interior.
Leatherique Oil removed......Lexol pH cleansing.......all interior carpets/mats extracted......all interior trim cleaned and degreased

All in all this M3 was the softest of any of the JB BMW's I have ever worked on.......after finishing this puppy I was pretty excited to see it finally finished.
