| FS: 1998 Ford Ranger - 4x4, 4.0 V6, 5-Speed |

If anyone remembers the '98 Ranger I borrowed for a month in-between my 325i and Focus, it's up for sale now. My friend Mike bought this a few years ago and has driven it sparingly. It was used to drive up mountain trails to get to radio antenna locations for his job. He alternated using this and an XJ Cherokee. Now, he's living in DC proper and owning two cars, plus a company car, is too difficult.
It looks like this:
![[Image: rangerdanger.jpg]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v687/icebook1/rangerdanger.jpg)
Specs:
1998 Ranger XLT
4x4
4.0L V6, with hrmph HP and step-the-ass-out-in-the-rain torque.
5-speed manual trans
Single-cab. You can store a laptop behind the front seats, that's about it.
Has a tow hitch on the back, not sure if factory Ford bits or not.
It's got manual locks, hand-crank windows. Has cruise control that works. Mike installed some Pioneer head unit that has front USB and aux inputs, and HD radio. Speakers are stock (it has 4) and I think I blew one of them out back in December, probably jamming to Miley Cyrus.
The paint is mostly shiny. The hood looks like ass. Lots of rock chips that were poorly touched up a long time ago. I dunno, it's a truck, it's not supposed to be too pretty.
Mike says it needs an upper control arm to pass inspection but is otherwise stout. I think he put tires on it right before I borrowed it.
Asking $3k OBO. Send me offers. It's a good little truck if you need one.
Edit: More pix from Mike, the current owner:

Hey all,
So it's time for our first meet of the year! We will be meeting at 7pm Wednesday (September 4th) on the top of the Showker parking deck like usual, and after we do the usual meet and greet we will be headed to Klines for the best ice cream Harrisonburg has to offer. See you all there!

| Suzuki DR200 idles really high... sometimes. |

What am I looking for? Idle was great on this little bike, but then it just started creeping up. I turned it back down with the idle screw (which just changes the min open position), and now it idles normally sometimes and hangs really high other times. There's no tach but I would guess 3-4k.
And it's not the cable hanging up, I can feel and see the slack in it and the plate is on the adjustment stop when closed.
Likely a vacuum / intake leak, or is this a clogged pilot jet? I would think a jet problem would make it hard to start, which it's not.

Hi! I have a set of 4 Blizzak Tires 225/45-17 (model ws 70) that I purchased brand new for my E46 to use in the winter but have barely used them. I ran them for a max. of 6 months (less than 3k miles on them) on the car so they are practically new. I paid $560 for the set brand new. I'm asking $450 for the set of 4. If you are interested please let me know. You can email me at natalieduda@gmail.com

Hehe, alright alright. Well this would be my second prompting to create a thread, so here we go! I recently sold my Accord mostly because it was automatic, leaking oil from EVERYWHERE and I had no real passion for it. So I went on search for an e34 since that's one of my favorite BMWs. However! I came across this e36 and the asking price was good, the miles were decent (156k) and the body/interior was on point for me. I went to test drive it in Ashburn and loved it more than I thought I would have. I went home and made my parents talk me out of it, they couldn't. Got some friends to talk me out of it, they couldn't. So I went back up there the following week and bought it!

Lol dash is kind of a Christmas tree right now.
Check control: The left brake light isn't working and I think it's something with the wiring because i've changed the bulb and socket but still nothing.
Check Engine: Catalytic Converter, not that I care. This actually turned itself off for a couple weeks and it just came back on when i brought it to Harrisonburg.
ABS Light: Rear left wheel speed sensor. I tried to take this off but its stuck so I'll have to see about that sometime in the future. If I drive over bumps/speedhumps/potholes fast enough park it for five minutes and turn it back on that gets the light off til i park again. :dunno:
Airbag: Seat belt switch.
I also need to do the cooling system stuffs. I already have my radiator hoses, waterpump, thermostat and electric fan I just need to actually do it now. Its overheated...or well got hotter than normal twice (never made it to red) but then it brought itself back down to normal temperature. Then I drove it to harrisonburg with fingers crossed and it stayed cool the whole time but only overheated when I got off 81 and onto Port Repub, again brought itself to normal temp. I've been driving it for the last two weeks all about town and its been fine. Idk. I just need to change everything now. When MM has its first club meeting I'll ask the officers about getting into one of those garages its said is open to members.
I'm sure I could pick on a few more things that are not perfect but then this post would never end. Basically anything else thats "wrong" with it, isn't enough to interfere with my driving experience or the life of the car. So thats it for now. Expected updates will be cooling system, taillight, abs sensor and tying up this heat shield underneath the car thats rubbing on the flex disc. And then it can finally get its inspection done in September/October.... inspection is over this month
Thanks for reading!
