@ the Augusta county gov't center, in Verona. it's like 20 minutes away. the lot is decent, but most courses are in the 40-50 second range. usually the turnout is pretty good too. it's so close we should really try to make it, if even just to watch.

if you haven't auto-x'ed before, this is a nice event to come to in order to just get a feeling for what it's like, even if you don't compete since it's so close.

it sucks this is the same weekend as slummit, but as for myself, i'm gonna go up to watch/chill at slummit saturday, head back sat. night, then hopefully compete on sunday in the auto-x.

fyi : we went thru those 4 cases right before it turned twelve, so i had to break into the stash of amstel's for peeps cuz i'm a nice guy..

So me and CapHen worked the whole day on my car today. What did we do, you might ask? Well, we added a Racing Beat downpipe and a presilencer. We also performed the JDM ABS Delete option. (The ABS was already bypassed, but the controller was still in there.)

In the process, we took out a lot of heatshielding around the turbo. Now my engine bay looks a lot emptier on the left side! I can see the backside of the turbo and the shiny new pipe.

What was the result of this venture? Probly a LARGE amount of power. People with just RB full exhaust have put down ~210-215whp. (RB claims 260 at the crank but that's with the associated 12psi boost creep) I can say that it feels faster for SURE. It's a little louder, and a lot smellier (can even shoot a flame or two ). It runs at 7-9 psi, so I'm still under stock.

When I get my intake (that I already ordered), I'll add an FD fuel pump, and a MBC. After that, I'll be set at 10psi, pushing 220+whp, and I'll start focusing on suspension...

The wheel is a 60 trim. Rated at 52 lbs/min.

RJ says boost means nothing. He is correct up to a point. Telling someone how much pressure you are subjecting the charge air to means nothing unless they are familiar with the turbo you are running. Telling someone how much air you flow is always a better indicator of power being made. Jack was asking me a few days ago how is 20psi on this turbo better than 20psi on the Evo16G...obviously the pressure the air is put under is the same, but this wheel outflows the Evo3 turbo by a lot. I was logging 35 lbs/min of air on the evo16g when I made 320 at the wheels. I hope to flow over 45 lbs/min on this one...I'm sure you are capable of doing the required math.

Anyway, I really do need help. Scotty won't ever get to drive the car the way I dynoed it (I'm a liar, sorry) but he will be the second to get behind the wheel once I've installed, broken in, and tuned this thing.

my roomates porsche 951 (944 turbo) and a local harrisonburg 04 GT3

was driving home from class and saw the gt3 parked in the einsteins painting store right across from hardess by the railroad tracks. the owner is the one with the gt3. he was very cool and talked to me and my roomate for over an hour. he is hard core into tracking the car. it has gt2 seats, a roll cage, and modded suspension setup. he had a silver gt3 and traded it in for this. friday he is picking up a black carreras 997. he tracks his cars at summit and vir and has a whole inclosed trailor setup and all.

thought id share there are some cool local euro cars among all the vipers and corvettes down here

I'm in Tokyo. What should I do and what should I see? It's my JDMM trip. I'd like to see some hot cars but I'm not sure the best way to find them. I was thinking about trying to find some tuning shops. Has anyone been to Tokyo before? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
