I have been riding it alot more now and its a blast.

We will be among the first to move to a new MySQL server (yay for me working at nexpoint)... it might happen sometime this week, or this weekend. I'll keep you posted.

Robert was pushed onto the dirt on the left side of the track and shot across T14 to T8 at unabated speed (no slowing down on dirt and gravel). Robert shot directly in front on the RX7, and the Mazda driver died instantly. Robert's passenger side cage was pushed all the way into the middle of the cockpit.

The RX7 driver had nothing to do with the outcome of the accident--he found a huge and heavy V8 GTA car directly in front of him in T8. Robert was unable to stop a car careening across dirt and gravel at full speed, without scrubbing much if any of it off between T14 and T8.

According to the SM drivers, both broke their necks and smashed their helmets against their steering wheels. Both helmets were smashed in at their chins. Neither was wearing HANS devices.

The Thill EMT response was one of the worst I have ever seen, and proper medical attention was provided by 2 extraordinary SM drivers--Craig Evans and Tony Silva. The track safety response was extremely slow, and the corner workers had to be asked by the drivers to radio for help and an additional ambulance.

As this was a test day prior to an SCCA event, the track support and safety team was not the normal SCCA affair. With the SCCA crew in place, I have no doubt the response time would have been markedly improved.

I doubt that any EMT or safety crew could have done much if anything to save Robert--our SM drivers said that he had a faint pulse when the arrived. What worries me is that if any of were to have an accident on a test day at Thill, and our survival depended on a rapid response--well, the crew in general supporting the track today just scares me, and I'll leave it at that."

After looking for one for what seemed like forever, I finally got a bike. It was finalized over a week ago, but the actual transaction didnt happen until tonight. Its a 94 Yamaha Seca II. Asking price was 1950, I paid 1750. Not bad considering the extra's it came with, and it has 17,000 miles. I rode it around the block (my first ever on a bike) and it was great. Steering is very natural. The fastest I went was 25 mph in second gear, but even that felt really fast. Its really wierd now sitting in my chair at the computer, I fell like if I lean the chair is gona start to tip over. I can't wait to ride it tommorow when its light out.

I started my insurance already, and it turns out it going to be less then they originally told me. Only 290 a year instead of 416 for liability and comprehensive (progressive). Anyways, here are some pictures I snapped tonight. Ill get some better ones in the daylight tommorow.

The last shot in there is what im working on right now to store my bike. There used to be a big bush there, but i took that out. Im gona throw it into the shredder and make some mulch with it. Then im gona lay down some cement slabs for the wheels to rest on, bricks to the side for the kickstand, and then fill the rest of the area with the mulch. Ill probably put bricks or a 4x4 along the edges to keep the stuff out of the garden. Also going to extend a roof from the shed over top of the bike to protect it.

Heh, I told the owner of Underground Graphics about my keying incident and how I lost all of my vinyls after my car got repainted and he gave me the 4 UG logos for free. I highly recommend this place if you're interested in high quality vinyl stickers. Price is pretty good, and they don't look too rice imho.

My buddy is selling his integra. I've ridden in it and it was pretty good. If I didn't have a buttload of cars already and was looking for another track car, I'd definitely consider getting this. Seems very interested in negotiations and just wants to get rid of the car since he is moving back to NoVA soon and can't afford to keep two cars. Check it out guys...

Ok so im gonna be heading home soon, and depending on whether he comes back from cnu early or not ill be seeing a friend there either middle october or thanksgiving in november. Anyway i mention this because my friend's dad works at a honda dealership, and because of this he pretty much gets free helms manuals.
soooooooooooo if anybody here would like a helms manual for their honda, assuming you dont already have one, I could probably pick one up for you for free. I ask because Im bringing one of two del sol helms manuals back for chris, so i just thought id ask for anybody else. I could probably ask him for a few, and he should be able to come through assuming its not to many. Anyway if you'd like one post here and depending on how many ppl their are ill see if i can come through for you.
