  Driving Priviliges Revoked Part 2
Posted by: damnit458 - 01-08-2005, 09:11 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (25)

So for the second time in my life my parents are not letting me drive their cars, and for once I actually didnt do anything.

Last night my friends and I went to a party in ashburn, which I drove all of us to. One of my friends brought a six pack of beer to drink until the keg got there, which he didnt want to bring in to the party all at once, because he didnt "want to be the first person walking in with alcohol at the party." So instead of just bringing it in, he decided to take one in, drink it, and get another from my trunk.

Well today Im watching college basketball with my dad when he says that he knows I was drinking and driving last night. When I heard this I completely denied it, because I was sure, for a fact, that neither me nor any of my friends were drinking in my car last night. I infact was barely even at the party, and ended up driving arround with a few of my friends the whole night (allowing one of my friends to try stick for the first time in her life), having decided earlier that I wasnt going to drink period since I was driving. At the time I didn't even remember about my friend who had brought the alcohol into my car, so when asked if I'd like to see the bottles I said yes. So I walk out to the garage and low and behold I see an empty 6 pack of MGD bottles. My dumbfuck friend decided to leave the alcohol in my car, even after people had brought lots of other kinds of liquor/beer in. At this point I remember that he had brought it in, and despite his stupidity, he had not drunk until in the party. Of course I try to tell my dad this but he doesn't believe me one bit, seeing as I so adamently denied that any of my friends/I had alcohol in the car, or driven drunk.

The funny thing is that yesterday night while I was letting one of my friends try and drive stick on a small neighborhood road we got pulled over. The officer asked my friend to get out of the car, under suspicion of drunk driving (not knowing that all along she just was trying to learn how to drive stick). The officer was really nice, saw that we wernt lying, and let us off, just reminding us that 12 at night isnt the best time to be learning stick.

So, in conclusion, I drive my friends to a party, get pulled over under suspicion of drunk driving, get let off, and then lose any abillity to drive my parents car for, I believe the next year, because my dad "isnt stupid, and knows what I was really doing."

  Free 14" tires

Free 14" Sumitomo Srixon tires, taken off an integra.
Plenty of tread for summer and wet use, although I personally wouldnt drive them in the snow.

Pick them up in NoVA if ya want 'em.

  fye in ny (pics now!)

well, first off, we started our wonderful NY trip about an hour or so late, cause of a few things, flo ironing his pants for one. we headed out and drove. stopped at a chinese place and subway (they were next to each other) after a long look for a mcdonalds or taco bell.....the car ride up was good, flo played MGS3, him and me played Tekken 4 and Initial D, and Spencer and Chris played IIDX. We got to the arcade after some doubt as to which exits and etc...aand after a bit of filming in the car by spencer....so we get into the arcade..and the In The Groove machine was reverted back to a 4th Plus, WTF???? so, we go do whatever else...me and flo rape the drivers and times on Initial D, we play a bit of Tekken 5, Pop'n Music was a bit of a letdown, and between Flashbeats, teh didder machines and IIDX 10th, we occupied ourselves for the rest of the night....flo and I took a small stroll down the mall, nothing really different from any other mall, went to eb games, walden books, and hot topic (to look at albums).....

then, to the hotel, the 5 of us stayed in one room, i got the floor the first night, spencer the second...apparently gerg is really hyper, and the first hour or so, was us seeing all the different things we could do with the springyness of the bed...yes, jumping on he bed took up some time on our trip..the ps2 was set up, and I played NFSU2...we took a small run to 7-11 which was across the street, got some ramen, laffy taffy, and flo got us some drinks from the soda machine on the floor above us....we eventually fell asleep during and after 13 Ghosts.

woke up the next day and went to IHOP and then left about 1 or so....spent the day at the arcade....more of the same, less of a crowd, so machines were open more....gerg got the flashbeats machine to produce the line "Fuck It Hard"....fun...more IIDX 10th for me, loved it, and more Initial D, with a small kid bothering the hell out of flo..like poking him and fiddling with the shifter....spencer took some more film and finished about 15 minutes before mall closing with a few IIDX rounds.....on the way home, one of the windshield wipers flew off, so we stopped and fixed that around, took the rear one off put it on the passenger side and took the large one and put it on the driver side...

back to the hotel, NFSU2 was on then MGS3 was on the rest of the night, flo finishing the last 7 or so hours of the game...a bit more settled this night, cept lots of homo jokes and references...went to sleep...

got up and left about 9:30 the next day, dunkin donuts for breakfast then sleep until lunch at 1 at a service center in new jersey, cept for the brief moment in lower manhatten, where more film was shot and we tried to see stuff in the hazy fog....then, we watched Shaolin Soccer, and then I played NFSU2 until we got home....we all got our stuff together and stored and somehow a wiffle ball got to be thrown at people....it's funny to watch gerg throw a ball...well he threw it, then chris took it and hit greg in the head while he was running away, rofl...good throw....then chris and them left for putt-putt to see the new machine, which was a let down for them...

good trip over all, lots of laughs....I beat Giudecca and Colors (eurobeat remix) on 7 key...and Over the Clouds remix one handed with an A on 7 key, woot....loved 10th style in the arcade....

thanks to my mom for driving us....

dunno exactly how it was worded but, ' I'm over here, and you're over there, but we can do the high five '

rofl

pictures comming soon

  radiator question
Posted by: Chris - 01-07-2005, 06:34 PM - Forum: Technical Discussion - Replies (15)

this is prob. a simple question, but is the radiator fan supposed to turn all the time or only when the engine reaches a specific temp?

also, is the coolant overflow tank ALWAYS suppposed to have coolant fluid in it? After I changed mine over the summer it seems to be empty most of the time. The engine never overheats though...

  Dyno Results
Posted by: KPWSerpiente - 01-07-2005, 03:31 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (14)

I don't know why Jack or Greg havn't taken a second out of their day to post up their trip to the dyno but Jack's Turbo II Rx7 put down 140 rear wheel horsepower and Gregg's FD Rx7 put down 230 rear wheel horsepower.

It was a fun time at Ultimate/Mach V's dyno...I was out to watch because I figured with 2 rotaries making multiple dyno pulls there is about a 99.9% chance of seeing one blow. But that didn't happen.

I also spent a few minutes tuning my boy's 16g powered 91 GSX after the Rx7's and made a fairly conservative 267 all wheel horsepower at 19psi.

Re4 looks absolutely beautiful. Makes me wish I had a console
Honestly, the graphics, and the game play, sound so much better than any other RE or horror game. Looks like a gem.
