| Running Rich |

All right, I'm trying to think of reasons a car can run rich. My SHO is getting around 11mpg in Harrisonburg. I have already:
-Replaced the O2 sensors (~7k miles ago, old ones were throwing a lean code)
-Cleaned the MAF with brake cleaner
-Replaced spark plugs
-Re-grounded engine
-Replaced thermostat
-Run a tank of STP complete fuel system cleaner
To do-
-Plug wires (although the ones I have are supposedly 30k miles old and are OEM quality)
-Fuel filter
Here are the previous spark plugs - the car still seems to be running rich at this point (black soot all over the exhaust & pretty dark black smoke under hard acceleration, poor gas mileage.) Any ideas?? Cause I'm out of them and tired of thinking.

So I'm driving to school in NC from Winchester Sunday night and stop in Harrisonburg to see Julie and Rex. After i leave there for another 4 hour drive everythng went fine until i got dark. I had thought my alternator was going out for a while, but it wouldn't die. So of course the only time i don't bring tools along with me,my lights start to dim and if i drive over 65 mph, my battery light cuts on. Crap. Alternator is fried. Don't i feel dumb. Luckily I get all the way down to my apartment before the light is constant. Call my parents, get it worked out to buy a new alternator. Wake up this morning and go to Advance Auto to buy alternator. Repalce it in the parking lot of my apartment complex, acting like i'm only looking at the engine so i don't get yelled at for working on my car. what fun.

this is from the car I bought awhile back, the hooptie is never driven and the tires have a good amount of tread. Not too sure, since I havent worked on the car in ages..
They come with CX steelies, I think they are 14"... I just want to get rid of em to fund some better wheels/tires for the snatch..
Anyone need em?

Aight, so I go off for a little ride. Still haven't done any major brake or suspension work on the 240, but what the hell. I flog the car pretty good up 33w and back tonight, absolutely great. Fell in love with the car; rotates well, great torque, responsive, super floaty but upcoming mods will remedy that. Get all the way back to town and I lose ALL pressure in my clutch pedal at the intersection of Port and Main headed back to my apartment. I mean NOTHING, pedal just sat on the firewall. After 5 seconds of cursing, I decide to coast it back to a nearby road (luckily it was late and no traffic). I get the hood popped and look around, nothing major has blown up. No weird noises ever came from the transmission tunnel either. I stalled it earlier in the night (laugh, but you drive the supra every day for 3 years and switch to this car and see there is a ginormous difference in the clutch engagements) and the pedal stuck, but it came back out and nothing else seemed wrong. This wouldn't build pressure or anything. So, I get it parked and I'm looking a little closer. Doesn't appear to be any major lines busted. Can't see any puddles cuz the ground is wet anyways. Get to the master cylinder; mother f**ker is DRY. Stick my finger in and no fluid whatsoever. Filled it up, but still no pressure. Left car to return tomorrow.
I'll jack it up and bleed the clutch tomorrow, since I'm sure theres a ton of air trapped in there and hopefully that will fix the problem. I'll make sure everything is tight while I'm at it.
Can anybody think of any reason that this would happen other than what I have deduced. Master cylinder is brand new, slave cylinder is not. Everything has been swapped in past 6 months, inspected while off car, nothing looked really screwed up, has 500 miles on with zero problems whatsoever (OK, so there's a little bit of oil burning, but I already figured that one out).

So this afternoon at about 1:30pm all these emergency vehicles came to my apartment building. I heard from a girl that lived in the apartment above that someone had overdosed. I assumed it wasn't good since they just arrived this afternoon if the kid had done something last night. When they brought him out on the stretcher there was a bladder in his mouth and they were pounding his chest, he was also a light blue color. I had seen one of the EMS personnel come out of the building with the defibrillator they had used. It didn't seem like he had much of a chance. I did not know him personally but it is very unfortunate.
