News Flash -It's hot.

So glad to not be a mechanic anymore. It was days like this in a non-AC shop that helped push me back to school.

Of course I spent 30 minutes in my garage tonight sweatin me balls off.

I think this is where to be. I was unaware of the temperature outside until I noticed my Facebook news feed "blowing up" (as you kids would say) with photos of friends' vehicles' 100% accurate thermometer displays. As my BMW's fine German thermometer appears to be accurate (with the occasional swing to -40F) I was tempted to join in the phenomenon and share with MY friends that indeed, it is warm today.

I almost didn't make it from my air conditioned car, across the parking garage to my air conditioned cubicle.

However, at exactly this time last year my balls would be knocking against my knees and every inch of my shirt would be soaked through while I cleared brush or did some other grueling bitch work. And it'd only be 10 AM. And I couldn't even look forward to tomorrow cause I worked Saturdays.

Oh the things I don't miss.

Oh And I sure as hell don't miss doing general contracting installing insulation under a house and I sure as hell don't miss washing cars at the Auto Spa on blacktop... Life's pretty good in my comfy cool office here..

The E34 just kind of wheezes semi-cool air at you. "Oh, you vant zis cool air ja? Nein, you cannot has."

It's fine below like...80. Which is also when it's fine to have the windows down. 81 degrees and the party's over.

Isn't that what the Ridgeline has? R12 was the older stuff, which the E34 has. It'll blow c-o-l-d if it's got a good charge and stuff, but I have no idea how well the system is working. The car also has some form of semi-automatic climate control, so half the time it does its own thing which is usually not quite what you want.
