This car was one of 83 Silverstone Metallic R2's to be produced in 1994.
The RX-7 of course is a front mid-ship rear wheel drive rotary engine propelled true sports car.
The R2 was Mazda's race equipped package. It came with a more aggressive front spoiler that directs air to cool the front brakes, R2's only came in manual 5 speed, dual oil coolers up front, a rear wing, a red strut bar with the RX-7 logo, stiffer sway bars, stiffer springs, and less sound dampening. R2's also had a suede like seat so that you wouldn't slide around during intense driving. No R2 came with a sunroof, rear wiper or Bose stereo. This was to keep it as light as possible.
I bought this car in March of 2002. It now has 80,600 some miles. I have done everything I can to make it perfect like it was from the factory. I have done tasteful mods and have taken great care of this car. It has truly been babied. It has been garage kept, never seen rain, and is in mint condition. It has been repainted by a professional, a new R2 lip, new shift knob, new key from the dealer with the mazda logo, I had the taillights buffed, and the elusive battery cover was obtained. I mix a few ounces of Marvel Mystery Oil in every tank of premium gas. The MMO supposedly helps burn the fuel better in the combustion chamber meaning less carbon buildup, a healthier car, and better performance. I have changed the oil every few months despite my lack of driving it. I always let the car warm up before boosting and I would let it cool down after spirited driving. It doesn't smoke etc and it runs strong.I haven't driven much in the past 5 years and right now insurance is getting to be a nuisance. I was married recently and I need a down payment on a house. I want this car to go to someone who can appreciate it as much as me and actually drive it. The car was meant to be driven. The car is awesome and I still have people ask me who makes that car, did you just buy it?
It has good tires that are Z rated. It has 35% reflective tint on the side and back windows.
I will also include an ENTIRE RX-7 service manual I printed out. It will help you perform just about any task or job on the 7.
I would like $15,800 but I am very negotable as I need a down payment for a house ASAP.
