Subs, Amps, and CD Players (new stuff!)
#1
By new I mean "new to me." Looking to sell some goodies to make room for more and fund the minivan 5-speed project. All prices are OBO.

Subs
1. MTX 10in "Sledge Hammer" Box w/ 5500 sub. 4ohm. Used in my van for about 4 months. Comes with CC warranty until 1/1/09 with free replacement if the sub is blown. Slight nick on box corner but other then that its in premo shape. Really hammered, just got a good deal on the same box with 2 10s

SLH-T5510-A Enclosure Specifications
Model SLH-T5510-A
Driver Type Thunder5500
Description Single 10", T5500 SledgeHammer 4 Ω
RMS 300W
Frequency Response (┬▒ 3dB) 40-150Hz
Enclosure Height 14.000"
Enclosure Width 19.375"
Enclosure Depth 16.000"
Weight 46.5 lbs
Recommended Amp Power 150 - 300 Wrms

I'm thinking $200 on this, MTX sells the box alone for $175. Places have it online for around $165 with no warranty and you must pay shipping. It was $250ish new and the warranty was extra. Really a good solid sub for any taste in music. Rex? Want bump in yo' new whip?

2. Infinity Kappa Perfect 12in sub in sealed box. 4ohm single voice coil. If you have another Infinity 12 (Nick!) or are looking for a good clean sounding 12in speaker this is for you. It will not hit the lowest lows, it is really for accurate reproduction at higher frequencies. So in other words, if you want a sub for something other then Rap music this gets 5 stars. I paid $200....I'll take $100. The freakin box would cost you $60.

Amps

1. Kenwood KAC-644 4 channel. I think it is 45 RMS and 60 peak. Its old and would be for just pushing some normal cheapish speakers. $30 with a 2 week warranty from me.

2. MA audio 400watt (peak) 2 channel amp. It lays down 200RMS bridged to mono at 4 ohms....about right to push either of the subs listed above. I can attest to its ability to slam them both (not at the same time). Its on the lower end of the spectrum but if you are not looking for super crazy bass it would do great for you. Good quality amp, I've had and used it for 3 years now. It was $175 new. I'll take $75 for it out right, $50 if you buy either of the sub boxes as a package.

Looks like this, but smaller

CD Players and sat radios
1. XM Ski Fi 2 w/ 3 car kits - $75
2. Kenwood KDC-MP228 w/ Kenwood Sirius radio box - $110
MP3/MWD/HD radio ready
[Image: KENKDCMP228.jpg]

Like I said I am open to offers and combo deals on all this stuff. I have several other radios at lower prices if someone just wants something simpler. I have all kinds of harnesses and such as well to make install a snap. I'll even free install most of this stuff. Just PM, e-mail, or call.

Do you do stereo installs at CC? I am thinking about putting some stuff in the suby - and my main stereo install guy is in roanoke, but i could drive half that distance and get you to install some stuff if you think you could do it - just need power run to the back, and installed with the OEM deck/changer

All day every day. I'll install the stuff for you. Do you have everything you need? That MTX sub would rock that Subaru hard.

Actually I think I already have everything I need except a wiring kit. It's a kenwood amp, kicker L2 10"...Im thinking about getting some stuff for the monte too - but I gotta buy a deck too - still trying to decide waht I want do there. The "small" decks look like ass in those cars because they have to have spacers installed to fillt he gap - any suggestions there? Got anything that would fit the bill there? You know what I'm talking about? It's those old delco decks that's like..3" tall, 8 inches wide or something like that.

We have a snazzy kit that goes in those that "iso mounts" the radio so it looks like one big unit. Also Pioneer makes a radio for those...its called "din and a half" size. Look that up. The Pioneer is like 8 years old, but they still sell it as a current model because its din.5 Din = "that small size" you are talking about. Your subaru has a "double din" sized radio.

Get this MTX and MA amp for the monte...hell get it all for the monte...that Kenwood radio is nice as hell and it comes with an OEM kenwood sirius radio....DO IT! I'll make you a hell of a deal. $320 for the MTX sub, the amp, and the kenwood. Plus I'll do the install. in the monte. You just gotta get whatever GM parts I don't have. I already have the harness and antenna adapter. so like $40-60 for the kit and the amp wiring kit.

how much for you to install in the subaru (the amp and sub i already have)? And would that be for the heavier guage wire? The amp is 800W.

I don't like fucking with new cars because the dash aseemblies and shit don't come out as easy - but I figure if you're at CC doing it, you probably know all about getting in there to wire it to my factory radio, eh?

And I may be doing something about the monte's oontz later this summer when I get the money for it - I already installed some memphis speakers in the dash, but I gotta get some 6x9 adapters for the rear, and decide what I want to do there. I think I even already ran the RCA and remote cables..cant remember.

Amp kit is like 30-35 I think. Retails for like 75 but we get a deal on them. I'll do the amp/sub for $50. Thats running signal back (you have RCA's right?) running power, mounting everything and all.

I don't have a set of RCA's for the suby, but just tell me what to get and I'll get it. Sounds like we got a deal though. I'll have to let ya know when I'll be down, we'll work out a time. I'm in no immediate hurry.

1. XM Ski Fi 2 w/ 3 car kits - $75

Regarding the car kits, I'm assuming they're new, but incase they're not does it have all the hardware:
- harness for xm skyfi2 reciever
- antenna for harness
- connector acc. power for harness

if so, how much for one XM Ski Fi 2 car kit? :-D

edit: fyi - i already have the skyfi2 reciever

hmm, Let me get the skifi out and look at it again. Its my favorite XM unit of all time and I might get cold feet on is selling as you can't really get it anywhere by on ebay anymore. Jay, $20 for a complete used kit no problem. As for the unit itself Dave, I'll hit you back once I decide if I'm gonna keep it or not. That was sorta a last thought post.

As for PMs...I almost told big D to PM me, but I figured people might actually read the thread once it got some posts in it Smile
