12/30 - Jennings GP
#1
Headed down for a track day to the Jennings GP track (www.jenningsgp.com) and the Ed Bargy race school. I'm not sure which I'll sign up for yet, but if you want to do the school DE-style instead of open track then Matt will keep you company.

The plan is to rent a big van, hitch a trailer up for the bikes, and drive down.... probably leave on Thursday evening/afternoon to arrive for a Friday hotel check in, and Saturday track use. If there's enough interest we could probably stay for Sunday, too.

Right now the attendees are:

Andrew
Matt
RJ

Anybody else in? The more folks we get the cheaper everything will be.
When it comes to Ryan Jenkins, the story ends with me putting him in the wall.

Shut it Nancy, you're going.

I'm down for Saturday for sure, possibly Sunday depending on how the budget looks.

Jennings has a good video on their webiste:

Right Click, Save As:

http://www.jenningsgp.com/video/Greg.wmv

Matt also found a really good video. Right Click, Save As:

http://www.deadzonevideo.com/Vid/12105JGP.wmv

In the second vid the rider is all over the place, but it's very good for watching next to a track map to learn where it goes.

Oh, right, and don't listen to RJ, he's coming.

The track is in Florida, 20 miles south of Valdosta, GA, and 40 miles north of Lake City, FL. Temperatures should be in the mid to high 60's.

Derecola, you said you wanted to get into tracking your bike. Jennings GP is a purpose built, motorcycles only venue. Sounds like a good place to start, if you ask me.

JayRay? You're already hooked. Sign up.

Gula? Get your hooptie fixed by then?

Gerald? You've got a credit card, and we'll make sure you get enough sleep during the drive.

Correction... I said I wanted to do track time. I have approximately zero desire to track my bike. It's either a rental school or wait until I have a shitty bike for my tracks days.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

Oh I'm sure I could - but I'll be out of town for family stuff anyhow. Supercamp this weekend will be my last event of the year.

Have fun, be safe.

Nope, I'm sure my shit will still be busted by then.

The SV is starting to get aftermarket parts, so the wallet remains light.

You forget I crashed by CBR, went to Japan, and am doing Supercamp. My Visa is on life support.

So you can get really drunk and post stupid pictures on myspace the next day?

sorry - i actually have friends to mingle with on new years and my girl. I was unable to enjoy new years last year due to work, so I will enjoy it with her.

Plus we know your social skills are as sharp as a tennis ball, so being at the track around plenty of men will suit you good.

(I would love to do that track day, but the timing of it is just not for me)

Well, I'm going to have two of my best friends with me, and I'll probably bring a girl, too. Perhaps we'll ride Saturday, head a little farther south that night, party it up, and then relax on the beach on Sunday.

The correct term is "tree stump"

At least get it right.... and I'm bringing Ginger's sister for me and Matt.
