Mobil1 racing formula
#1
hey guys, check this out:

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.prod.mobil1.com/products/racing_formula.jsp">http://www.prod.mobil1.com/products/racing_formula.jsp</a><!-- m -->

looks like a new blend of mobil 1 is out, and it says is for high revving "weekend racecar" engines. for those that are pretty anal about the oil they use, this looks like a new bling formula...

cSt @ 100┬║C 10.3

Holy shit that's slick

HTHS Viscosity, mPa┬Às @ 150┬║C ASTM D 4683 2.99

Compared to Supersyn 5W-30

HTHS Viscosity, mPa┬Às @ 150┬║C ASTM D 4683 3.08

This is going to burn worse than 'regular' Mobil 1 Synthetic.

Jantastic. I will be staying far away.

cST is a flow number. The lower the number, the better it flows.

HTHS is High Temperature High Shear. A higher number is better... there is a general correlation between this number and how much of the oil will burn under heavy use.

Product Data sheets are fun!
