bah. do I even want to view that trailer? I've been let down quite a bit by episodes 1 and 2. Is there some reason to beleive that 3 will be more than just an effects and computer showoff with a weak story and acting?

Yeah after the initial drama of seeing the trailer wore off for me I started thing about that stuff too. There is at least 2 very interesting light saber fights you see in this one but I wonder if they are going to screw up this movie as bad as the previous ones. I thought Episode II was okay, but Anakin was a bit too much of a bitch. Hopefully he is more evil and badass in this one (sure looks like it).

Oh yeah, check out the Cartoon Network Star Wars Clone Wars cartoon series, they're awesome. Directed by the same guy who created Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Lab, and Samurai Jack. You might be able to find them on Bittorrent or something.

yeah just saw Episode III trailer yesterday! May 19th 2005.

I thought it was cool how they had the original Obi One speaking while they showed the new clips. Episode I was very disappointing, II was better, III better not disappoint!

Anyone have the original collectible toys still? My brother and I have tons of them... and with each new movie, they become worth more and more (I hope).

I had a ton of them, as well as Darth Vader's Tie Fighter and a A-Wing... the original toys from the 70s. Sold them on ebay a few months ago tho =p

I'm curious as to how they sold? Did they go for as much as you thought they were worth? I don't know if we'll ever sell them, but knowing they may be worth something would be nice.

Um, I can't remember the exact amount I got Chris. It was too long ago for Ebay to have the auctions saved for me. I think it was like $120ish ? For a bunch of figures, 2 vehicles, and a Darth Vader figure case. They didn't bring as much as I thought they would no, mostly because collectors aren't willing to pay as much for stuff like that unless it's in mint condition (i.e. in the box, original wrapping, etc.) Stuff that's been played with is worth far less sadly. Hold onto em tho ! I'm sure they can only keep going up in price.

It sucks that the originals need to be in the package to be worth a lot... honestly, who buys something and never opens it. ah well, from what I remember we appraised our collection at 2 grand, for insurance reasons. Sounds kinda funny, but we used to be really into the collection. I can just hear you all say, sell it and swap that 1.5L!!!
