TL/DR

"As Secretary of State, Clinton backed a bold escalation of the Afghanistan war. She pressed Obama to arm the Syrian rebels, and later endorsed air strikes against the Assad regime. She backed intervention in Libya, and her State Department helped enable Obama’s expansion of lethal drone strikes. In fact, Clinton may have been the administration’s most reliable advocate for military action. On at least three crucial issues—Afghanistan, Libya, and the bin Laden raid—Clinton took a more aggressive line than Gates, a Bush-appointed Republican."

Pro-life..His defense of that position at the 3rd debate was about as straightforward as I've heard any republican say in modern times, especially those already in office

Thank you for actual reasonable post.

Where I disagree is the points I've highlighted.

De-regulation of the EPA? Why? Is global warming not a thing in your mind? Although I do agree the EPA can be quite harsh and policies absurd there should be regulation on some environmental changes to renewables, etc...

Are you informed on illegal immigrants and how they benefit the US? They usually pay taxes now-a-days and don't get just everything for free like everyone believes. Or are you referring to "Muslim" immigrants?

Taxes, How else does he plan on increasing military spending when it is already high and he plans on cutting taxes? Several billion missing in tax revenue with the biggest tax cuts for the millionaires/billionaires. Cut the “social programs” you say? Okay. You’ll still have to pay in a free market for things that you were paying for with taxes. It all equals out. At least in theory.

Why, also reinforce the military? Why stick our nose in all of the foreign issues? We should increase assistance programs for them since they are having issues adapting back to society instead of building military back.

Pro life? Why? Shouldn't we raise awareness on contraception and pregnancy prevention over forcing a woman to have baby if they aren't educated? All that does is increase costs of the general population especially the lower educated people and poorer people who don't have the same access to birth control and education as others do. Will the be an exception for women who have a forced pregnancy?

Your questions are leading. Did I say anything about getting rid of EPA? No, I said lessening regulation. I want clean drinking water too. Sticking with that though, I o think it's bullshit when a fracking project gets canned because they are drilling 3000 feet below the water table.

As for immigration, between your questions, and the next post, I an tell you're emotional about it. Why are you specifically asking me about Muslim immigrants? That is a far smaller issue than immigrants of all types coming over the border in droves. Politicians have been quoting the "12 million undocumented immigrants" here for 20 years as if that number never went up post Reagan. An easier problem to solve that I'd like to see movement on is overstayed visas. These are the illegals who we know precisely who they are. wTF so controversial about that? Also, Trump did not say ban 100% of Muslims forever. He said ban them until we know who they are. What's wrong with that? It's also not unprecedented in this country. Immigration with assimilation is a thing. Look it up, check out France. We as a country spend a lot of money catering to different languages and cultures both officially and unofficially.

Trump is almost a non interventionist, so not sure why you're bringing up world policing. He wants us out of that business. Some of this I don't agree with strategically speaking, some I do.

As for taxes, if it all equals out, then let me decide how to give it out. I make charitable donations every year to social programs. Let me do more of it.

And finally..why pro life? Because doctors like this are few in number but do exist. http://m.drhern.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fw ... rrer=#2730

Just assumptions based off topics people talk about lately in politics

I can agree to an extent if they aren't contributing them get them out but some may have started families over here and the process of obtaining citizenship is a very long ordeal.... so there needs to be steps for that or kick them out? Idk what's the best answer here but saying remove the overstayed visas isn't always the best answer.

Funding the money for a large military is staying out of world policing? Also, trigger happiness doesn't make me feel very comfortable of a "non interventionist".

.

Yes, bit "emotional" as my parents immigrated here and lots of my family. As i mentioned previously, i also have several Muslim friends who are fantastic people and I do not take kindly to the way they are being portrayed, sue me.

I am asking about Muslim immigrants because you took the time to add to your post, "stop with this bullshit about him banning 100% of any X group." Let's call a spade, a spade. The only group that has been stated about is Muslims, so that is why. Nearly every time we have limited immigration from a region or culture it has been an overreaction, this is no different.

You didn't answer my question. France has it's own culture, identity. It's still a piss-poor idea and is also not working, but at least they have something to assimilate to. There is no, "American Culture," because by it's very design America is a combination of various cultures, not to even begin with regions.

Not that you will, since you've already shown that you don't care to learn more, but this is a good read on why "assimilation based immigration" is a terrible idea. Quote from research paper regarding France:

"The impossibility of assimilating 6 million individuals and the unwillingness to make the compromises necessary to bring them in as a group have led to predictable failures."

I just find all this back and forth hypocritical to the nth degree.

Democrats: A woman has a right to choose! Keep gov out of the doctors office!
Republicans: Absurd! Government has the right to save unborn lives!
Republicans: We have a constitutional right to protect ourselves! Keep government away from our guns!
Democrats: Absurd! Government has the right to protect us from bad actors!

Both are just wedge issues to turn people on each other... and both are examples of government *restricting* liberty in one way or another.

How about the government stays out of lives all together?
Why do people just post what they are thinking? Without thinking.

Dude that thing is 116 pages, you really need to TLDR it

Top 20 ain't bad out of 150 some odd countries, but what I thought was interesting was the US's numbers were being weighed down by the "Rule of Law" category. IE Procedure Justice, Criminal Justice, Civil Justice. So I guess our criminal justice system sucks? But Women's Freedom of Movement and Autonomy of Religious Organizations were both at the top of the scale, along with most of the other categories they were using for that ranking. (see page 44)

Also to note on Page 50, the United States also gets a 10 for Same Sex Relationships. Not sure this study is really countering my point man unless I'm missing something in this novel :dunno:

No matter what side of the political spectrum you lean we should all be able to agree that it is silly to restrict an entire group of people from coming to our great country. But I hope we also all agree that there needs to be scrutiny and potential large-scale case by case restrictions on people coming from areas of the world in which religious extremists are prevalent. An open door policy is unwise and will be taken advantage of by our enemies. Look at the terror cells that have built up in France (Valence, Paris, Magnanville, Nice, and Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray just in 2016 alone) and the mess in Germany right now.
