Also, didn't see it on the calender event thingy thread but might want to plan a dinner and movie night when fast 7 comes out for current members. We had a good turnout and time when fast....5? Maybe came out.

I think there are enough of us around in the summertime that a Saturday date could work. Might not get 40 people, but maybe do 20 for an hour.

Even if it's not an "official MM event" in the sense that officers coordinate it, I'd be down to get a group together over the summer.

Personally, we need an MM event during the summer. I don't think a karting event is it, but at least MM promotional about something during the summer should be out. Trip to Ferrari of Washington? MM Barbeque/wrench day?

I would definitely be down for a summer FOW trip and/or wrench day/bbq. Sully is right though, it'd be best if it was in NOVA. :lol: We could also just try to pick an autocross that we all make it to at some point in the summer. Maybe one in RVA?

Yes cause it makes sense to do an autox...for NOVA people in Richmond. Matt will just back and Justin has a subaru (so its broken). We have more MM cars that track/autox in my house than in the entire Richmond area.

There are far more MM members in NOVA than Richmond. Just because Matt finds it a pain for road trips, doesn't mean we should make everyone else have to drive just for him.

I won't back out.....cause I won't say I want to autocross anyways. I don't hide the fact that I don't like autocross.

I do like the go karting idea though. Maybe not even a formal rental but go karting and then beers but it might be hard with enough people to get everyone on track. When is dominion raceway supposed to open and are they supposed to have karts?

Just a suggestion bruh. :dunno: I have no clue where most MMers live, especially current students, so I don't know what would be the most central location for everyone. Even most NOVA auto-x are like an hour's drive from our neck of the woods anyway, they're always on the other side of the city, I've yet to see one in Manasses or something.

Also, for the movie thing, as long as we plan it more than a week before. I have to ask off from work.

Contacted Thunderbolt. They can do a relay enduro similar to G-Force except the problem is every 16-20 laps every team will have to jump into a brand new kart as their karts only last 16-20 laps on electricity. Another problem, they say $2400 for 2 hour enduro and are only willing to give us $200 off so the price would be $2200. They are basically open any weekend.

So, back to G-Force. Now we will be deciding on the date soon and updating this thread once again when we decide :thumbup:

Damn, i didnt know their range sucked that much. Thats a normal race at g-force. Like with the 7 mintues you get on a normal run, i usually get in between 16 and 18 laps. They must charge fast if they actually do any sort of business

You would think they'd design them to last longer and/or add some time of something similar to regenerative braking to last longer.

Yea or charge people wanting to do track rentals less for the inconvenience. I think the owner is the guy who owns the trampoline place next door and for some reason, i feel like he's kinda greedy but that may be a rumor i heard

How does everyone feel about the possibility of a late afternoon or night karting on March 28th? Instead of morning on the 29th at G-Force?

I like that idea too, definitely don't like the Easter weekend idea, or the summer karting idea because a lot off mm students live out of state, sounds like it favors the alumni and the couple of guys that live around here/nova. But I'd definitely be in for a summer event since I'm interning in DC
