Legendary engram unlocked to exotic pulse rifle! The thing hits hard but the rise is pretty terrible. Needs stabilization.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth
Nice, dude! I just got the bounty for Bad Juju, we'll see how that goes. I didn't want to have to go on a murderspree for the Thorn, and fuckin' shotguns are goddam useless in this game except for cornercamping in PVP.

Sorry, that's an auto not pulse. Thank god. I've been using pulse for a few weeks and just recently switch to legendary hand cannon because I was sick of it.

i've read bad things about bad juju, but apparently they're gonna make the bounty weapons all suck less soon.
i bought forza horizon 2 today because it seemed like the right thing to do. i didn't really enjoy the demo, but it lacked customizing and shit, which is probably what i like the most.
no interest in playing destiny save for the weekly missions because they're a challenge.

Yeah I am hoping they don't nerf auto rifles that bad. Suros Regime is one level from max and it hits like a scout rifle with auto capability...so money. So I figured out that you can increase the hardness on the weekly strikes to get more strange coins. At level 28, you actually get 9 instead of 3...nice! Matt and I were on together but we thought that was a little optimistic for only two of us to take on a level 28 strike. Hit level 5 vanguard and all I got was a legendary class item and a few blue engrams.

Forza Horizon 2 is surprising fun. Or maybe not "surprising" since I liked the original, but the demo didn't do much for me so hopes weren't high. Definitely a good excuse to break from Destiny. I think my favorite feature so far is that it looks like an LS motor is an engine swap available to everything. I've not done it to too much because most of the cars i have are defined by their motors (supra, ferrari, lambo, classic shit, etc.), but I did drop it in a 90s Evo and it's simply amazing. So much go even with the motor still stock. 2700lbs, AWD, 275 tires on all corners and V8 goodness MMMMM. They've made a pretty nicely open world. If you wanted to, you could traverse it entirely off road. The number of sprites they've been able to add due to the new hardware is awesome. Bushes, grass, good looking dirt and rain. And there's always one more thing to do... Collect this, explore some road... Tons of collectibles, leaderboards, and things to itch that instant gratification button. They still haven't been able to merge online play seamlessly as TDU did way back, which is the only thing I really feel the Forza series has been missing. It doesn't have me glued to the TV, but still beats Destiny (now that I'm purl/yellow).

Oooh the whole "LSx into anything" feature allowed me to create a 1945 Jeep Willys with 928hp. Twin turbrah, 215s at all four corners... Spins the tires until about 140mph and then tops out at 200ish thanks to drag. Pretty hilarious little monster.

Picked up Shadows of Mordor because YOLO. Pretty entertaining. I was able to put about four hours in yesterday. The action is very much like Assassin's Creed, but a bit clunkier. It's definitely repetitive, but there are tons of little collectibles littered about, senseless slaughter of Uruks is just plain fun, and the Tolkien world has that extra bit of pull for me.
Aside from the storyline, the game is very much revolving around "Sauron's Army." Now it may be a very simple system in code, but basically there are a couple dozen "extra bad" guys in your world. You can hunt them individually to weaken the army, perform some shenanigans to ensure weaker dudes rise up the ranks, and from one review I read, I'll eventually be able to install my own spies to bring Sauron down from within. That little system keeps me going... It adds a lot of character to these otherwise forgettable boss foes. When they kill you, they power up. When they fight one another and win, they power up. When you kill them, they lose their rank, are given life again via the dark arts, and you'll meet up with their repaired/altered/more angry self. Their dialog actually reflects your previous meetings. Pretty cool.
Is it the 9.5/10 the reviewers are giving it? No. Do you have to pick it up? No. Do I feel cheated of my $60? No.
If Rexy could break from Destiny and enjoys LOTR (not sure), I think he'd like this little (big?) adventure.

I thought about scooping that up, good to hear the good review. But then I think about turning my PS4 on and not playing Destiny and I'm like meh.
Our crew has the nightfall strikes under control, I think we're another month or two away from raids. It really just takes everyone being geared and leveled up and prepared to coordinate. I am working on my third exotic weapon (from a bounty), which is the heavy machine gun that reloads itself when you miss. About halfway to 29 but you know how that goes with ascendant shards. I probably could have bought myself closer to there with vanguard armor disassembles but I really wanted the Ferrarisparrow. Might buy some NOS from Xur this weekend for it

:?: I've played like 50 hours of Destiny. I feel I'm done with it until/if they make broad changes to the story and endgame. They won't. On to new things. We don't all game at a snail's pace.

anyone picking up Driveclub?
Level 29 and a few raids deep in Destiny. Definitely enjoy the raiding, ready to try it on "hard" we just need a few more people at 29 / 30. Our clan is about ready to try it this week I think, unfortunately I am out of town on business Apparently they are making changes to the raid that will make the final boss more unpredictable. Not sure how I feel about it, especially since a lot of people are doing it for the first time.
The nerf to auto rifles sucks so hard, although Suros Regime is still the most dominant weapon (and I have two now :p). Just created a Hunter and Warlock alts so that I can farm the daily events with more characters....as soon as my Hunter hits lvl 20 I have a full legendary / epic set of armor and weapons waiting for him, the 'lock has a mostly complete set. I am definitely still getting my money's worth; I am ready for some new content but the repetitiveness doesn't bother me as I dabbled in the mmorpg world for a while. I have been doing stuff like repeated exotic quests just to dismantle the weapons for ascendant energy ha.

I've only gotten 2 exotic bounties to spawn and I'm not done with either of them yet. Kinda salty cause last night I got reset on my "do 5 strikes without dying" because I got one-hit killed by a fucking dreg (lightswitch modifier was on).
The nerf to auto-rifles was enough that I switched to a pulse rifle in the Crucible and it's been working pretty well thus far. Just bought a legendary scout rifle so maybe I'll start using that.

Anyone doing the new CoD? I'll probably get it, but I seriously doubt I'll do any multiplayer. No matter how many times I play the same story over and over, I just can't say no to a CoD campaign.
