Whichever. The last interaction I had with AT&T wasn't wholly pleasant, but I think I could deal.

I've been on AT&T for almost 10 years with only minor annoyances. Mike has had a similar experience.
FWIW, it's the carrier that releases Android updates and not Googs.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

What is it about android that their phones cannot participate in a group text, i.e. their phone doesnt recognize that its a group and just sorts the messages like they're from each person?
"every 10 min we had like 50 new messages, but they were 5-15 from each of you with no way to respond" followed up with - "honestly, I think apple is pretty lame, they've come out with the same phone 5 times with minor upgrades" I lol'd. I guess neckbeards never had the thought that they would want to communicate with more than one person at a time.

lol...group texts?
maybe android was just designed for adults?

I get a message failed notice if it doesnt go through. Does android not do that?

I didn't even realize people group texted, other than sending a blast text to multiple people. I can't imagine a chat room via SMS. Sounds horrible.
I used the wife's SGIII in an LTE market for the first time this last weekend. HOLY SHIT.

.RJ Wrote:I get a message failed notice if it doesnt go through. Does android not do that? The message failed is if your phone fails to make the hand off to your carrier. There is no failure message if it doesn't get from your carrier to the other carrier and then to the carrier's phone. My sister sent me a text at 4:30p from a Verizon iPhone. I didn't get it until 8:30p on an AT&T SGII. She had no idea I didn't get it.

I have no problem with that. If it was critical, I wouldnt use a text message.
I dont use the group texts often, but its nice to have the option - spent the weekend in NC for a wedding and the group text made coordinating between 12 people on things pretty painless. I had no idea that android couldnt process this until at some point saturday someone with a Mohammed phone bitched about it.

Coordinating for groups should be done via email, not text... but that's just me.

I use group text to communicate with several referees at once for emergency filling, we use it for coordinating volunteers at events, communicating with more than one kid at a time... Granted the BB I was coming from was a complete POS, but the ease of doing this on the iPhone is nice.

Bad thing is, it looks like Google is not going to have a standalone Maps app for iOS any time soon:
