Fall G-Force Kart Enduro (Kaan's Karting Giveaway)
#1
Alright so I know we just finished the college autocross but the G-force Enduro is right around the corner so we need to start gearing up for that. Still need to set an absolute date with G-force which is part of the reason this is going up so early.

We originally requested November 12th which is a Saturday like we normally do, but after talking to Justin, it appears that there is a JMU home game that weekend. Now I wouldn't switch the date for only Justin (Sorry Buddy :| ) but I know that some of our Alumni have season tickets and that some of our students may think they like football better than G-Force :evileye: .

Either way, we have two options to have this event on depending on what G-force says.

The first would be continue like normal and have the G-force Enduro on Saturday November 12th. This would mean no post karting shenanigans but we would be able to come home Saturday night and still have a day to recoup. This also means, some people may not want to come as they would rather watch football.

The second (providing G-force even allows it) would be to have the enduro on Sunday November 13th. This would mean, we could leave the Burg Saturday afternoon/evening after the game and go down to Richmond and then Kart the next morning. This would still mean little to no post karting shenanigans but at least some more of us would be in attendance. We would have to drive back that afternoon and would still get a night to recoup. I'm not sure if there would be any post karting shenanigans at this point but you got a better shot for some on Sunday than on Saturday.

Of course, we would hopefully have our normal night before karting shenanigans either way.

The weekend before is out due to it being a NASA MA weekend which would automatically mean quite a few alumni would not make it out and the weekend after is when students leave for break so that is a no go either.

So what do you guys want to do? I will update this more when I hear back from G-Force. Once we get a date set, it would be awesome if you guys could start sending some monies our way so we can get this thing booked.

It will be the usual $40 for alumni and $30 for students. We will have 40 drivers like usual as well (20 Students and 20 Alumni). Teams will be handled day of and we will probably pick our own teams becasue it worked out fine last time. A week or two out, we will open this up to friends of MM but as of now it is only students and alumni.

I'd be more inclined for Sunday... I don't have season tickets, but I'd think attendance would be higher on Sunday this time.

What about the week (or two?) in between Thanksgiving and winter break? I guess people study for finals then.

G-force will give us either day and will let me reserve it before I pay the deposit...so let's nail a day down by the end of the day or early tomorrow.

I would say we could ballast up so that the heaviest driver on each team was even and then everyone else could just deal but its really not worth it with how much of a PITA gforce is with their ballasts and it could create quite a gap anyways depending on how teams go.
