This article questions that sentiment among a lot of F car aficionados. I'll always love the F50 the most, it just a car that "gets" me more than any of the others. I like the F40 too, but never really hopped on its bandwagon.

I don't think I could choose between them. Either one over the Enzo. There is just something so intoxicating about the simplicity of the F40 that I think the F50 starts to lose a little. I love that the paint so thin on the F40 you can see the carbon fiber texture under it. Also, the V12 performs higher but the F40 has turbos. Because turbo. The looks are a subjective toss up to me.

Personally I think I'd rather have the F40, but I don't think either one of them is better than the other.

f40 was far more of a shock to the system than the f50 at release.

google results:
"f40 better than f50" = 3 hits
"f50 better than f40" = 1 hit
therefore, f40 is 3x better than f50.
