Thanks guys . The ride height will be reset at some point - due to the timing of things it was aligned/balanced before the 6ULs were mounted (d'oh). I've already pestered Shea to forward me his awesome-looking settings and then I'll take it back and play with the setup some more. For now I'm just happy to drive it
This thread makes want another miata.

Pssh. Small fry for the Miata.
I used to carry a mountain bike to work in a miata. I cant quite remember how, but I did it a few times.

Quick update - I'm trying to attend as many auto-x's (include the college one of course) as I can for the rest of the season. The car is very, very fun and neutral, with no real bad habits (that I can tell). The R1R's are a bit finicky on tire pressures, with water sprayed on them between each run they're awesome but if one isn't mindful they seem to get greasy quick.
I just did a little mod this morning that is honestly one of my favorites so far - gotta love the little projects. Swapped the stock '99 taillights for new '01+ units. I hate hate haaate the center dark-yellow sections on the originals, which are banished forever with the new lenses. I actually tried to do this a year or two ago, but got burned by receiving cracked lenses from a Miata dismantler that looked nothing like the pictures, so these are brand new units.
This was actually somewhat of a pain however, as (unbeknownst to me) Mazda swapped the turn-signal sockets from a 3 prong in 99-00 to a 4 prong in 01-05. An hour of filing the receptacles later and they fit, and look a lot better.

I've been running them this year also. I've found they are happiest around 28psi all around on my car. I've always sprayed between runs except for yesterday. My fastest run was my last run where I dropped a complete second from my time(also 2nd fastest overall ) so I may try them with a little more heat in them at the next event, but at the same psi
Its subtle but I like the newer ones better to.

Thanks - pics don't show them well, but they look great from all angles and work awesome with the blue. I'll take more pics outside of the garage.

Yeah my pressures are still too high probably. At my last even Frank Dam ('99, 225 R1R) settled at 26.5 all around and seemed to do well with that, I was at 29F 27R I believe and threw my last run away chasing the rear end  . I'm still getting used to not needing a lot of pressure, not only for the R1R, but for 225's on the Miata.
nice change on the lights...subtle. i like that the lenses are all more rounded instead of "blobs around a circle" or however you'd want to call the old style.

I really like the clear vs. yellow swap. Makes the car look a bit newer and cleaner.

Cool - I know I should be at the CDC event on the 8/9th at Bowie, I'll see what I can do on some of those other ones
I finally snapped some outside pics today - I was actually picking up the keys from Piper after some readjustment of the ride height/alignment/corner-weights in time for the auto-x this weekend.
The car looked admittedly turrble with the initial ride height and the new wheels, and after settling things were evened up to 12" F 12.25" R, and cornerweights came out to LF/RR 49.9 %, RF/LR 50.0 . Re-used the 949Racing alignment specs that were awesome before. A little bit more work/maintenance hopefully and she'll be ready for some more action.
