Video Games Thread - Gamertags in 1st post

Haha I really do. I played the newest Grand Theft Auto for a total of about 10 minutes before I lost interest. I just traded it in on Forza 3. But then I'll play games like Assassin's Creed and be obsessed with completing every single sub-mission even though you don't need to, or I stress out that there's still stuff to do on the board.

Now this is crazy. I'm proud to say GTAIV has consumed more of my life than any other game, it has the best re-play qualities ever.

My recent favorite activity, besides the mini-game of being a cop, is hijacking helicopters, flying low and angling the blades down to chop up civilians and traffic.

How could you get bored of that.

Sad to say I haven't tried F3 yet. I'm still playing F2, spent the afternoon after class painting up a Heritage Ford GT, no pics but it looks sick (I don't even have a live account, FML)

I finally bought a 360 this weekend for the first time. I have Modern Warfare right now, and a reserve of MW2 for tuesday.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to MW2, although I was told that Microsoft disabled the use of party chat during multiplayer. which I think is just lame

I got bored with GTA4 too, although it took me a bit longer than Lee. My thing is that after you're about a quarter done with the game you already have so much money that you can buy whatever you want. There's no reason to try to get more money. And at the end of the day you're still pretty much running errands for someone else. I wanna be able to hire people to steal cars/do drug deals/kill people for me. Then I wanna use my money to buy pimp shit like yachts and penthouses and such. But maybe that's just me.

read somewhere that now in MW2 multiplayer, when you get the kill streaks, you are actually the gunner on the Apache, instead of it just blasting in random areas.

Anyone entering the gamestop tourney for MW2? Me and a couple of guys from an old CAL-I league team are entering the 4 man tourney. Gamestop is also supposed to have 1v1 tourneys for $5000

Not sure how we will do, but me and my one buddy (who used to be #1 at halo 1v1 on bungie) were tearing it up last night.

I had borderlands briefly too, the disk skipped (i had a used copy) so I took it back and got CoD4 to practice with. It was a fun game...I might get it again later, but I already know MW2 is going to take up my time

Also, i hadn't heard that about party chat, so that is going to suck unless you only play with people you like. So Effin' annoying to hear people on there.

+1 here. GTA4 was weaksauce. I only beat it to satisfy my addiction to beating games... It wasn't very fun.

There are some cool ass kill streak rewards now. Sentry guns? Tactical nuke @ 25 kills? Sick!

We're going to the midnight release, sessioning it for a while tonight then I'll get bored of it next week. :lol:

none of the best buys in arlington are doing midnight releases, so ill just have to wait until tomorrow to pick it up.

I can't think of a better way of spending my veterans day holiday then shooting some baddies
