hockey has 82 games, and it started in like october.
The caps have really impressed me since practically everyone except ovie has been injured. I still think they're in big trouble without a decent goalie. Brent Johnson has done well but he won't last long. Theodore is terrible and its just way too early to give Varlamov any regular playing time.

Anyone else watch the game last night against the Pen's?
That was the best hockey game I've seen all year. The Pen's were going after Ovechkin hard and it only seemed to pump him up as he got 2 goals and an assist in the 3rd period.
It makes me wish the old Patrick division was back so we could play Pen's more often.

Not to mention the flyers and almost every body else in the atlantic. It pisses me off that we're stuck with teams like Atlanta when there are teams like Philly so close and with whom the Caps have had such a fun history with.
What I wouldn't give to see the Pens continue to struggle this year and miss the playoffs

Big two games coming out of the all star break. At Boston and then at Detroit. Unfortunately both are on versus which means I'm stuck watching them online, but they should both be great games as the Caps usually play up to their competition.

That was absolutely ridiculous. I was watching the game online last night and the resolution wasn't good enough to see what exactly happened and then suddenly it was called a goal. I was sitting there thinking "how the hell did he do that?"

Looks like a lot of good playoff match-ups in the first round. Philly vs Pit, Boston vs Mtl, and even the Canes vs Devils looks to be very entertaining (not to mention the match-ups out west). I can't wait for Wednesday!

Oh I am pumped about the playoffs. I might have to buy the NHL's online streaming package so that I can catch all the games because the places I used to watch them online are getting less and less reliable... and I don't have a TV.

I'm not sure that's really worth it. I bought NHL CI this year and they're only showing the games that are on CSN (which are only the games that aren't being shown on Versus or NBC). The schedule is the following:
#2 Washington vs. #7 New York
Wednesday, April 15, at Washington, 7:00 p.m. TSN
Saturday, April 18 at Washington, 1:00 p.m. NBC, TSN
