Project 99 GSX AKA "MN3Y PIT"
Andy Wrote:What honda application and where are you getting them from?

I was wrong they were for hondas, they were for miatas, and on EBAY.

There is also an application for hondas technically. The heim joint kit that the guy is talking about is a universal one that is typically used by hondas and miatas. They are completely adjustable.

The endlinks that I've seen spec miata guys use just look like one female and one male rod end. :dunno:

Nice work on the swaybars Justin. I'd imagine you will notice a huge difference in turn in / control. If you are doing the brake work in Richmond give me a call, I can come give you a hand on some of it if I'm free.

Using the right kind of wrenches ftw!

<- learned his lesson one, forgot the name cuz he is little tipsy.

i used pipe wrenches......still tried to ring off, they tightened down fine, and they were soaked in PB for a good half an hour, but they still didn't wanna budge.

You really, *really* need a box wrench for brake lines.

I don't know why they make the stupid brake line fittings out of lead or silly putty or whatever, but they really suck. Box wrench is what you really, really need.

Pipe wrench? WTF.

well thought i would update this thread, had some problems with clutch pressure, replaced the Master and Slave cylinder. Nothing....Replaced the line, Nothing. Assumed it was a bent clutch fork, pulled the tranny. This is what I found...

3 parts go in, 8 parts come out.....

Clutchfork no looky good....

Throw out Bearing, once pulled off the shaft fell into these pieces, luckily the clip, was still holding the pieces to the clutchfork, so it wasnt all rattling around screwin up my clutch

Backing plate of the TOB
[Image: 100_1428.jpg]

Inner sleeve that connected to backing plate of TOB....

The $3 TOB clip held all the pieces together, and pretty much saved my clutch and pressure plate from complete annialation.

New Parts are installed, Fork, TOB, Pivot Ball, SS Clutch Line, and TOB clip, just have to put the car back togehter again.

Damn dude, thats pretty big destruction. I wonder how that happened. Do you launch the car at autocrosses? Ive done a bazillion launches and the only thing that ever happened was I blew up the rear diff on the highway like 30 minutes after an autocross as the 72k mile old fluid couldnt take all the heat...

Got the trans back in, and everything put back together. No spare nuts or bolts either.....I always end up with a couple spare nuts or bolts. Filled the tranny back up with some Synchromesh, and topped off the transfer case. Now the car runs like a champ, the shifting actually feels smoother than it did when I first bought the car. Feels good to be able to shift gears with one hand again.

Dsm the only car where you can have nuts and bolts left over and it still runs good. Confusedhock: lol Good job Justin. Now is the point to start to panic. If everything is working great it only means something is going to break nature of the dsm beast.
