Commissioned one of our fellow MM'ers for...

A couple of paintings for some important spots on my walls! I brought down a bunch of wall hangings with me that I've collected from model home auctions back in VA and several paintings I've done myself. After seeing what Ryan could do though a while back in one of his for sale threads, I knew I needed to get him to do me a couple of paintings.

We started off by bouncing around some ideas. I've been becoming more interested in graffiti paintings and I knew that I wanted to commission him to do a series of 3 that flowed with the same theme. I gave him some really general details as to what I was looking for, but I knew that I wanted the overall theme to be "trance" as that music is obviously a big part of my life and helped me get through some really rough times years ago.

I also wanted him to do a fourth realistic style painting with a very specific theme. The Aston Martin DBS. I sent him several pics of what I thought would look good, he gave me some advice as to what would be realistic for him, and we agreed on a final pic. Here is the image that he's working on for me right now:

Needless to say I'm extremely excited where it's going! I'll keep you guys updated on all of the paintings as I get more from Ryan, or I'm sure he'll do the same. Hopefully this will spur up some more business for one of our MM resident artists!

looks killer! that car has a ton of compound curves....hard to do that kind of stuff in graphite/ink, harder yet in paint. i'm looking forward to updates, great job so far....

madden what are your prices for something like what lee is getting done

I'm charging Lee $170 for this 2'x3' painting, but I'm giving him a deal on it because I am doing 3 other canvases for him.
It would probably be $200ish if I was to do another 2x3, less if you want a smaller canvas. I have a ton of paintings on the waiting list, and it would be at least another month before I could take on any new projects.

Yep I still got you on there.
I think I have about 6 other paintings before I can start layin down some paint for yours. .RJ and white97dsm also contacted me about possibly doing art also

Ryan you're getting some extremely positive feedback from the pics I posted up on the IS forums, which is very rare because that board is known for ripping people apart haha. I got a PM from someone there who is interested in possibly buying some stuff from you. Is it ok if I give him your email address?
