Matt, i ordered an extra for my brother, but there is a chance he may not want it. IF i do get and IF he doesn't want it, i'll let you know.

Thanks Ken, I'm sure he will want it though. I mean a name brand tablet for less than $100. But if he doesn't that would be great. I am assuming its the 16GB.
On a unrelated, related note. I would love to have a tablet while working Grid with NASA so I can pull up the lap times of the cars running and see some live results.

You can get it on your droid phone too. Rexy set up the live timing to be accessible through race monitor's directory. Now you don't have to be on the NASA mid-atlantic IP, you just need 3G.

Yea, we were discussing the race apps and what not on Sunday. I lose 3G almost half the day at the tracks I tihnk if I remember right, and I wouldn't mind having a bigger screen. It would be extra cool as a worker becasue you get to hear all the changes before any other person would like when the TT STi DQ'd himself to run 30psi or when Justin Matthews DQ'd himself to run a TT illegal setup as well.
Now we may already have this but it would be super cool if we could get the print out page for Grid orders on tablets if we had one with us. That would make it truely useful.

There *is no* print out page for Grid orders. I have to make this by hand and it is an enormous pain in my dick.

Damn, even for race groups? That is rediculous. In that case, lets just let Stinger race for their grid spots too. For VIR, we will line them all up on false grid in order of arrival and then throw a green and who ever makes it through that little entrace in the concrete wall with and over the pothole first, gets the pole position. I bet we will see two or three wide going into the entrance.

If we gridded strictly by qual time we'd be golden and I'd have your grid sheets 30 seconds after qual results were finalized.
But we don't.

Is that because of different waves or just a bunch of variables? Well let me be the first to say thank you for your hard work, but at least you have ac.

Currently it's only my hard work at VIR. I was in Tech this weekend, except for setting up the live timing stuff.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth
I drunkenly turned on my Tranny Friday night and connected to a random wirelss network here in Baltimore. I woke up the next morning and my screen unlock pin wouldn't work after multiple cold and hot reboots. I couldn't find any incidence of this is on the internet (looking in my BlackBerry) so made the executive decision to do a data wipe on reboot.
After I did it, everything was basically reset to factory. That was annoying, but many of my accounts and things were tied to my Google account to things got back up and running pretty quickly. It managed to recover my wallpaper... and I have no idea where it's being stored on the machine. Teh Googlz is mahjic.
One thing it didn't do was sync my apps. I was messing around in the Google Android acct settings and I now have two Trannies list. I'm thinking it doesn't realize this tablet is my previous one, so it's not pushing all the apps back down. So yeah, Android it a little wonky.

In reading some of the reviews, it sounds like you need a client running on your desktop to print to shared printers.
I believe it will print to wireless printers without any additional software.

Still tryin to get my hands on a HP touchpad as I think the dual boot setup would give you some awesome options. Plus if I can find one for under $200, I could be bi-winning. Unfortunatley I can't find one ad:
