After burning some ammo with a Sig 226, Springfield XD, and a Glock 21, I must say I liked the 226 the most. Then I tried a CZ 75B - very similar but with better grips (for me). CA has a 10-day waiting period, so it won't be for awhile until I can pick it up...

I have a full size CZ, and I love it. Great design, very accurate, and fits my hand nicely.

Also: Classic style. I got some nice pao ferro grips for mine, since I couldn't stand the plastic and the wood is so much more...classy.

Good choice, though! Safeties are for pussys.

Aren't you limited to 10 rounds though? Boo hiss....

The Assault Weapons Ban does not conform to the definitions handed down by the SC for DC. It would end up forcing the SC to write it out in modern day terms... which they way they wrote it, it should be clear for a life time.

They used the terms "modern" and "common." Any mag limit would not fit under common. And they used the term "modern" so that the industry defines developement, not the government.

The Supreme Court has ruled. You don't like it. I'm very sorry, but them's the breaks. Don't you realize that there are plenty of gun owners (who don't hunt btw) who would be happy to vote for you if you weren't such rabid would-be-defilers of the second amendment? FFS, you could concentrate on other things, like how to print and spend a trillion dollars if you would just forget about the whole scary gun ban thing!

That's the funny part.

Obama and co. can say "We don't want to take your guns" and be totally telling the truth. There's no way anyone would write legislation to require Americans to physically turn over their firearms to be confiscated or destroyed.

But preventing new firearms from being manufactured and sold, preventing people from inheriting firearms, creating onerous and capricious licensing requirements, creating de facto firearms databases from case imprinting, preventing spare parts from being manufactured, and creating expensive requirements for ammunition all amount to the same end result.

they can sure as shit figure out how to make guns all but impossible to keep and own.
just look how many years it took for DCs blatantly unconstitutional law to be struck down. (and the word on the street is that they arent even complying with the SC ruling)

She might have done better than expected, but she needed a victory to turn around all the shit that the medias been spreading on her the past few weeks. Even if it isnt all true, doesnt mean it isnt hurting McCain and Palin both.

I see McCain's chance of winning slipping away every day unfortunately. I dont think hes down and out for the count yet, but its not looking as good as it was a couple weeks ago.

Roe v. Wade isnt only about abortion and my statement wasnt meant to be about it either.
You can be against Roe v. Wade and still be "pro choice"

It was the "kill an unborn baby" that struck me as extreme conservatism and I didn't think you were that far right. Maybe you just abstracted it out to make a point but I was surprised to read it.

Don't worry, I'm still for freedom of everything... I just have to figure out which candidate has non-freedoms I can live with more.

Recent elections have seen a progressive blurring of ideals from both parties - probably b/c the DNC is trying to appeal to the conservative Christians who have traditionally been a bastion of the the GOP. On the contrary, the GOP is tossed the concepts of fiscal conservatism to appeal to lower-income and working class families...

I want to gouge my eyes out with a spoon - we're turning into a nation of socialist zealots - the absolute opposite of any of my core fundamentals.
