Yeah, same here. Just a quick tug on the leash and my dog is back in line. Don't even have to use it all the time, every now and then she loses her way a bit and we have to use it but other than that she's good.

I've not no problem with a Prong collar, but I also feel you should be trained how to use it properly. We have a friend who's Pit Bull responded really well to the prong collar and only the prong collar, but he also went to obedience camp where they used it,and then trained our friends to use it. The gentle leader is working really, really, really well. He hates the damn thing, but he's getting used to it every day. Stops his pulling in an instant. Also, Diesel is a year old and we went the first 9 months of ownership with it not being a problem, but he's 65 lbs now and its getting old. Plus I need for him to be obedient at the track. I cannot have the dog being unruly at the track.

Whatever works for that particular dog is the way to go...
Now to get back on topic -- anyone from NoVa heading down the day of the show?

Yeah, quite a few from the sounds of it. Myself, Jake, Will and Ken (two of Jake's friends and alumni that live down the street from us), and Goodspeed. I don't know what David L, David M and Kaan are planning but they might be going in the morning as well.
My current plan is to leave pretty early. Probably try to be out of the house around 7 so I have time to blast the highway crud off my car at the Miracle wash by Charleston Townes and still get to the lot early enough to help set everything up. Anyone that wants to ride down with me is welcome to do so, but I don't know if anyone else wants to leave that early.

I'll be heading down after work on Friday I think - but i'd be interested in the car wash Saturday morning if someone could keep me in the loop. I'll also be staying down Saturday night and would be interested in post show dinner and/or shenanigans.

Yeah, I'm thinking of blasting down Saturday AM. May stick around through Saturday night but I have heard exactly zero words regarding any sort of post-carshow dinner or epic after-party from current folks. Whatever they say will determine what I do... c'mon gang. I want BBQ Ranch and all, but I'm not gonna plan it this round.

Well anybody is welcome to stay with us. Just need a heads up. Also, I think it'd be nice for at least the alumni to go over to like Capitol Ale house for some after car show eats.

I'm down to try out the new Capitol Ale after the show, but there hasn't been word of anything happening Saturday night so I'm planning on heading home in the afternoon.
