Mikey, I wouldn't go with a 20 gauge. You'll just be buying a 12 soon after.

mikey i wont sell you those firearms... they are a little old and only rich old people would have a use for them. i was trying to help an old vet out and sell his collection. he had too many health issues. well now i'm technically helping his wife sell them since he's being burried in arlington next month

This seemed like the most appropriate place to post this. I shot my 1st handgun this weekend and it was......awesome. Went to Silver Eagle Group in Ashburn w/ a couple buddies (had a livingsocial deal). I was only able to get behind a Glock 17, but we really wish we had more time to try some others out.
i've got a M&P9 if you want to test drive it. stock trigger for now...

Well as most of you know, I got hitched on saturday. So we decided to blow away my freedom with pounds of lead, targets, haybales, and produce.
Couple targets
The majority of the guns. I think there's one rifle and four handguns that are not pictured.
Gettin dale jr. ready for what he's got coming
First round of targets ready
Goodspeed sorta looks like a little kid
New hotness and old classy

YES. When that first watermelon blew chunks, that was just the greatest thing that ever was. And now I want an AR...even more.
If I could figure out how to get video off my iphone I will definitely upload those videos of exploding those watermelons. Also looking for the gopro footage...*cough cough* Justin...

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth
you add it like adding a photo.

I have a little bit of a rub near lock but if you are turned to lock on a track there are other problems already...
Saw a drill that sounded interesting in a recent issue of American Rifleman, a modified El Presidente for handguns:

So my brother and I set up some boxes with man(ish) size targets and ran through this for at least an hour yesterday. That was the first time I've had a real drill in mind that requires moving and shooting, and it was a blast. Gets the adrenaline going, helps find weaknesses in your skills, forces you to practice with your weapon and mode of carry at speed, and gives you a personal benchmark to improve on. I was running it starting with my little .380 in my ankle holster, my brother with his 9mm in a side holster. We'd start with 6 in the magazine, time starts when you pull form the holster, rack, shoot 6, run to cover, reload, shoot another 6, time's up. He got down to ~17 sec, and I clearly need more work as I always had at least one miss, so I'm in the mid-20's (fail). Anyway, I highly recommend it.
I need to get some real stands though to get the targets up a bit, maybe next time.
Once we had enough, we backed up the start and cover locations by another yard or so and ran it with shotguns a few times to finish off our targets. Just one blast for each target, run, reload 3, blast 'em again. I was SERIOUSLY out of practice with handling my shotgun, I was always getting something out of sequence! Need to do that some more!
Any other fun drills you guys have tried that aren't too hard to set up? Since I don't hunt, this kind of thing interests me a whole lot more than just standing there doing target practice, and it's much more practical/realistic for handguns.
