I can stop posting. And I'll be talking with the guy tomorrow about it.. I didn't assume he said its in really good shape and I'll be finding out soon enough. I posted the 2200 on injectors to show how she got overcharged they are alot cheaper and me and my dad can do the labor ourselves. I won't post until I get the car how about that?

Awww, don't get defensive on me; you have similar enthusiasm to what I did when I was younger, so it's all in good fun. Besides, you're turning to us for advice on our own car-buying experiences and if you don't post prospects then you'll never know. It would seem that MM collectively got you away from the white disaster on wheels, so we're already helping Smile

The 2200 really probably is accurate. If she bought injectors from the shop, it would probably be marked up a little over what the shop paid (so let's say $700). If the shop's labor rate is $100/hour (not unheard of) that is only 15 hours of book time, which considering it looks like it require the removal of the intake plenum is certainly feasible. A good tech can probably do it in a day or so, so that's just $$$ for them.
Also, who are we to say she didn't have other work done "while they were in there" that just wasn't disclosed in the email...

Yep gotta remove part of the plenum, which also includes part of the cruise control setup. Its really a pain in the ass.

Sorry me being sick and irritable + not being able to go to bed when I wanted = anger, lol. Hopefully either my dad or the guy on here can look at it(If i get the address soon) then im gonna look at it. I not gonna buy anything until I look at it and make sure it isn't trash.

I'm not sure how many of these you have actually gone and looked at, but my suggestion would be to go and look/drive as many as possible - especially the driving. The better your frame of reference is for what a good solid 300 SHOULD drive like, the better you'll be able to identify potential issues.

from my experience, the last situation you want to be in is where your first time driving a car is in the one you are really interested in buying.

The guy got a super low mile auto convertible for alot of money cause its in like perfect condition so maybe I can see how that feels?

I ignored reading most of the posts becuase mine is kinda important if you are still going to look at the car. DON'T. i wasted 6 hours one day to look at this exact same car. Dude wanted $3600 originally, It is true that the interior in this car is amazing and looks almost new and the seats are comfortable but still ebay knock offs. The power steering leak is a couple of hours leak, not a couple of weeks. He rolled up in the parking lot with it overflowing like he overfilled it so he could make the drive from his house to the store 2 minutes away from him. The engien has a miss as well, I believe it was on the passenger side cylinders if I rememeber right. Now the body, Above the passenger rear wheel, the quarter is rusted out about 1 inch wide by 9 inch long, you could prolly push through it with your hand. same goes for a spot on the door i believe and one of the rockers as well, but I am unsure, I know the few rust spots he mentions are not just sand and paint over rust spots though. The car is ultimatley a POS. There are plenty of 300's out there for cheaper in better condition.

Yeah if i woulda looked at it I woulda been like wow fuck that, lol. My dad is going to look at the car tomorrow and I'll be buying it saturday(really wanna try to get it Friday night so I have more time to drive it) im gonna bring it up here Probably when I come after thanksgiving break.

I'm getting this one. My dad checked it out earlier this morning and said its in awesome shape.Too all the advice about the shitty white z thanks and looks like I'm getting a great one! Big Grin
