What really surprised me in reading the FB page is it sounds like if you show up and park on the Kohl's side facing Starbucks next Sunday, police will be there to harass and try to ticket you. Wtf? Sounds like it's going to be a shit show as I bet about 98% of the usual attendees won't get the message. I almost want to go to see that go down.

It was such a convenient event for me, I hope it manages to come back. It was a calm event IMO and given a chance I'm sure they could quell whatever meathead behavior that did occur from happening again.

Shame, but I am not surprised. The crowd that showed up to Kohls the few times I went was definitely a more "immature" crowd. I actually like that Katie's is so darn early in the morning, I feel like it keeps out the "riff raff" (I am getting old) of younger more immature enthusiasts. Katie's the past couple times (I went 2 weeks ago), had cops positioned all over the roads. Definitely a good thing that they are staying on top of it BEFORE something happens.

I think the one thing it's lacking is some sort of obvious reason to allow the cars there since some level or jackassery is pretty much unavoidable with car culture stuff. I watch Katie's run out of coffee and pastries every single Saturday, so the building management has a reason to allow it. I'm sure the place who owns the Kohls shopping center does not care if the starbucks on their property makes a little more money. Bummer, moved to Fairfax but never made it out to one of these.

This past weekend some asshats in a C63 and SL63 left the show like the president was dying and they had the only viable transplant organ on board. I hope they can keep it under wraps so we don't lose that one too.

I prefer the crowd & cars at Katie's but I liked that I could go down and burn a few hours at the fairfax show when I'd inevitably run into someone I knew and hang around to chat. It's always a bummer when 95% of people are gone at 8:45 at Katie's.

The Charlotte C&C has a lot of cops set up around the perimeter where everyone is pulling out so I don't see any burnouts or anything like that. The venue is pretty much perfect for a car show though since it is in a large industrial area that was rebuilt into bars / clubs that are all pretty much closed until lunchtime, so there are no residents or businesses to annoy and tons of parking space.

They need to find a venue like that to replace the Fairfax event. It's a shame my old shop shut down, they were in a complex that was exclusively car modding/resto shops and probably would've been down to have a weekly car meet in the massive lot they shared behind the building, good free advertising.

I stopped by the Dulles Landing C&C this morning, one of the spin off events after Fair Lakes shut down. Pretty decent, nice location, but kind of a hike. At some point I'll head to the other event in Fairfax before winter.

This is the one off Rt. 50? Is it in the mornings or afternoon? I thought I saw another afternoon one pop up after Kohls got shut down.

I gotta get up early to drop some friends off at the airport on Sunday, so I might go check it out afterwards.

This one is down 50 west, make a right onto the Loudoun parkway and it's just up that road a bit on the left. There is another one I hear at a donut place off of 50 east near 123 in Fairfax. The Dulles one is 7-9am
