I dont want to be an asshole, but the instructor did manage to mention aero when going from 9-10 and that nasty bump/hill.

Edit: I dont think mitsubishi ever meant for the eclipse to be going that fast and driving on track, yeah the car has one of the best coefficient of drags and coefficient of frontal area, but lift it has multitudes of, and when examplified by track driving that mitsubishi never designed for the eclipse and multiplied by modifying the car to go faster around a corner, and faster in a straight line, something of the balanced equation gets left out (aero).

and yes ive heard what their saying, time on track, read my post, I am spending time on track as much as I can, I missed the only one in many track events the past year because I blew up my engine misshifting, driver error, not car, not what I put in the car, not money issue, driver issue, missed one because my own fault of driving and learning. You cant blame modifying my car or nothing. No excuses here, I dont know why you guys cant understand that I am doing what I can.

I've seen bikes hit the hump and loft the front wheel 2 feet into the air too.

The 'line' is to the right of that hump in the road.

Edit: haha I have to do it, RJ if that is right, then whats my instructors should have told me for the 4-5 times ive tracked at summit. Next time im out ill try to find it, I Wasx told by my instructors to try to make a straight line instead of going (which way, right or left side). PM me if you have any further suggestions on that bit to avoid that bump. (im being serious not being a dick :o )

I go to the right, as well. I don't pay attention to the silly 4 wheelers, but if you run a bee line from nine to ten on a bike it's going to be a very unpleasant trip.

I also don't think anyone was saying that you're a terrible driver either, but the whole point of driver education emphasizes the education. Being out on track time and time again will present you with different situations to learn different skill sets. RJ and Rex are right, in general, the highest dollar to speed ratio ($/mph ?) is on seat time. Not personally to you DJ but as a statement of everyone that climbs inside of a car. I learn something new every single weekend I instruct. Usually its to see what works and sometimes what does not work. I try to limit those "does not work" moments but atleast I know.

Edit: but seriously, that alfa is sick nasty. Long live whatever that exhaust pop is from, isn't there an explaination for that? I doubt it's backfiring right? Because my car pops like that too. Well not exactly like that, but it pops sometimes.
