Video Games Thread - Gamertags in 1st post

Quick question, the wife and I are gonna get a Wii as an xmas present to ourselves. Anyone have experience with preowned systems from gamestop. Would save us 50 bucks to go preowned but I've never bought a preowned system from there just accessories and haven't had a problem with any of them. 30 day warranty/return policy.

Nothing on the used system but I can tell you the Wii sucks balls.

Actually, a used Wii I'd be concerned about the nintendo "gamertag" equivalent. Aren't those device-centric? I don't know, been a long time since I owned a wii.

Well I would never use the wii for any serious games.....

We love playing the stupid carnival games, mario kart and wii Sports. Ill never purchase anything like COD for that system as its a waste and its not built for that. So what's with the gamertags? Saying the wii isn't reflashed and cleared so may have some of the previous owners garbage on it?

i've never bought a used system, but i have sold old systems to places like gamestop. the systems/games i sold were in perfect condition, i just needed the spare cash and figured it was a quick way to get rid of them without the hassles of trying to sell them (at the time craigslist didn't exist). the 30-day warranty isn't too bad since any big issues will likely present themselves in the first month.

I bought my 360 from gamestop used. It was way cheaper, and you can buy a year warranty on it for like 20$. Haven't had any problems so far, though my hard drive is a little loud..not sure if that's normal.

Yeah I think Infinity Ward needs to nerf the double 1887's (after they fix the Javelin glitch). I don't find knifers to be too tough to deal with but maybe I've never run into a really good one.

They don't even need to nerf the damage, just the distance. If I bump into dograpist in a corner, well, dying is what happens to us all. But there is no good reason to be able to "snipe" with the 1887's from across the goddamn map.

Also, does anyone know how to set up a PUBLIC game where it basically doesn't end? I was just joined to one, and man what a great way to level up. I maxed out all the attachments I was using on the SCAR in about 20 minutes, simply by running around and dying alot. How do I set that shit up?

So apparently there is now an infinite ammo glitch (has anyone experienced it?):

When I bought the game and saw the incredibly shitty manual (literally I haven't EVER seen a video game manual that bad) I thought, "Hmm, maybe they were in a hurry." This now the second major glitch in multiplayer, these guys definitely fucked up.

At least they can update the game remotely. And now maybe I won't be as motivated to waste a bunch of time playing.

cod4 and waw both had "major glitches," but the world continues to buy them. until the world decides to not, we'll continue to get glitches in our games that require patches.

Just got double p90's last night...pretty fun. I've been working to level up the Striker to. I've got the FAL almost maxed out as well as the M4. I don't play as much as I would like, only level 38. I want the double Rangers something fierce. The cartoon posted above is pretty much Anne and I. She watches me play some (more like directs me) and we have had conversations just like that.
