BRR Autocross in Verona 9/10

I'm bringing a mini-jack and stands, a few tools, and some choice detailing bits. Wheres the best place to pick up some racer's tape?

The Evil Empire (WalMart) has painter's tape. The blue stuff comes off cleaner than the white. Now as far as detailing and cone marks, the best defense is a good offense. A fresh coat of wax makes it easier to remove cone marks. Any good cleaner wax and a little elbow grease will get 'em right off. I always wax my car before autocrosses. I figure if I'm not fast at least I'll look good.

Well, the wax probably lowers your air resistance anyway a bit, right? making you faster. Probably makes it so radar detectors can't detect you either.

agreed!

+1 to the blue painters tape. racer tape works well but will leave some sticky residue crap on your car if you dont take it off gently. the painters tape you can just rip right off

I'm kinda cautious of the painters tape. I had some of that on my white car once, when I peeled it off, it literally peeled the paint off with it. Ended up having to get the tops of two of my fenders repainted

I have never had painters tape stick and take paint off.... use the blue stuff
