I haven't cared for the Sonoma stuff either.
I used to be hung up on ace pear and Ace pineapple (which is a pretty good beach drink). Kopparberg is pretty good but way to high in sugar to have more than a couple in a night. The Stella cider isn't bad either. Comes in a clear bottle which is surprising considering the care Stella is supposed to give to their products if you believe their commercials.
I actually bought the cans of BR ipa because they're cheaper and thought they'd have better carbonation because sometimes it seems the twist off bottles are a little flatter than others but the cans actually seemed worse but YMMV.
If you like the dryer stuff, you might like the ace blackjack 21. Pricey but I found it on clearance once cause I don't think it sells well at it's normal price.

Yeah it was the Austineast
I don't love the Ace Pineapple but it's not bad, I hear the pear is surprisingly good.
Not a fan of the stella one. :dunno: I'll definitely keep an eye out for the Ace Blackjack.
I really like the Austin Eastcider - got that unfiltered thing going for it. Also like the Ace Blackjack.
You guys should also try Downeast Ciders and IronBound Cider.

They don't distribute Downeast outside of the northeast. (I know.) But my bartender is from CT and she's ordering a 4-pack for me.

Blackjack Only comes in a big 750ml bottle. It was supposed to be a limited realease a couple years ago but it continued for awhile. Maybe the clearance i bought it on was because the distributor was no longer carrying it.
I really loved the pear for a long time. I'd buy two cases at a time from work. But it is a very distinct flavor and I guess I got tired of it. Still have quite a bit in the fridge. I have one every once in awhile.
There's a bunch of random ciders I've tried too that were hit or miss. Mostly misses. Ciderboys various flavors
Schilling grapefruit wasnt half bad
Schilling nitro coffee was... interesting lol
Blue toad is meh
Blackbird(maybe) wasn't half bad in the sweeter variety
The boldrock seasonals suck. They have no flavor. The bold rock orchard frost that is only available at the cidery between like December and February was pretty awesome but of course they don't bottle it.
Rekordlig (definitely not spelled right) has some pretty interesting flavors but insane sugar contents.
Most Crispin specials are meh to me. You might have liked the 15 men one but I think it was a limited release.
Angry orchard tapped maple is awful. Don't buy it.
Potter's grapefruit hibiscus is supposedly really good but I hated it.
Old hill apple pie tastes like what I imagine drinking an apple cinnamon candle would taste like.
I sampled some EDIT: cobbler mountain cider (blanking on the name but they are a little west of Centerville area) at a cider event and their seasonal spiced was pretty good. Didn't care for their hopped. Too bitter. And I think their other flavors were good too. Super pricey though for what it is. They have a maple in the winter I really want to try but I'll have to go to the cidery for that I guess.
Strongbow is ok in a pinch but just another generic mass produced cider. Haven't tried their new Orange blossom though.

They sent us samples for us to be the VA distributor. We declined. I didn't care for them that much. They were alright. And one was a nice flavor. Maybe the summer?
Joey I'd offer what I have left but they're super old and the last can I opened had some sediment in them and since I don't have anything to compare it to, I'm not sure if it's supposed to or not.

I'm down with Pinot Noir, Cab Franc, and Chianti, but I can't do anything remotely white... too close a taste to apples. Besides, white wine is for bachelorette parties.

Yup - lean more towards Malbec, Shiraz or Tempranillo for reds. I like most whites, so long as they're not overly sweet I prefer Rieslings or Moscato; although I recently tried Verdejo which was really good.

I've been trying to get into wines cause the fiancé likes them. Since I like sweet things, I've been doing moscatos, Rieslings, and now breaking into sweet red's (table wines and blends not ports) I seem to favor the cheap wines like yellowtail and barefoot.
Haven't had a rosé yet. Any recommendations? I've been playing around with vivino lately too. Pretty cool app.
Martin's and maybe giant has been having good deals over the summer. Been getting fiancé favorite cab santa Rita 120 for less than half price. All wine on sale and then another 20% off if you but 6 bottles or more mix and match

I have zero preference for wine because I don't drink much of it. I do like sweet reds but not overly sweet. Rose is a great middle ground in my opinion.
This is my go to and if I remember it was around $20 a bottle.

There's quite a few good cheap wines, but consider you're getting four drinks in a bottle. A $20 bottle of wine is about what you'd pay for beers worth a damn. I recognize I'm probably in a different tax bracket, but there is some quality shit if you double or triple your budget.

Bold rock seasonals suck except for peach which is awesome. Schilling Nitro is awesome too, although I agree it was weird. Surprised you don't like Austins, the Austins honey is my favorite way to make a snakebite. The Potter's grapefruit hibiscus has changed. When it first came out it was awesome, like 11%abv. Then SOMETHING changed (though Potters denies it) and now it tastes just...well like watered down version of the original. Blue toad is hit or miss, Todd is a nice guy, and I love that he uses only local apples, doesn't outsource, but his ?brew?master needs to work on consistency. I will say that the BlueToad peach is (or was, last year) worlds better than Bold Rock.
For "whatever, I am gonna go camping and want something in cans" cider, Smith and Forge every time. It's a little on the sweet side, but apple sweet, not jolly rancher sweet. And it's cheap and everywhere and comes in cans.
