lol, well, give me a break. I didn't have an xbox of my own until lately, and it's been a while since I played much of anything. Also I was getting my barret all pimped out, and sniping is not the way to success for k/d ratio. I play domination a lot, so I am usually more concerned with collecting points than kills.

Though, when I was playing with just an mp5 + quick reload + stopping power + steady aim it was pretty much pwnage. Highly recommend that combo. I almost have silencer unlocked for that, which will be even better. I am going for the chameleon pro perk, which will give me UAV/sentry gun/whatever invisibility AND no red crosshair or name showing when you are being target. That is going to be a badass setup for SMG

Yeah, I didn't buy COD4:MW, but I think I am going to pick this up after work. I just have this goddamn oracle project that I have to fucking ace...I'll need to get a goddamn timer to time myself like a little kid...

SCAR with ACOG is where it's at. Still a little frustrating that I haven't learned the maps yet. Favela is retarded, it's design specifically for campers basically. There are some good sniper levels though like the desert one with crashed planes in the middle.

can't disagree more. the scar is not a long range weapon; fairly inaccurate and huge recoi... it's more for assault style play. the acog is specifically for long range... your combo is like a 4-cylinder mustang.

I've been pushing to get to Level 21 so I can combine attachments but I only made it to 20 last night. I'm starting to get a much better handle on things now but still fumbling here and there, especially on the big maps.

I am sort of figuring out how to set my custom classes to take advantage of different situations. Thermal scope on my M4 works great on the maps with a lot of vegetation like Estate. Heartbeat sensor helps a lot on the small and urban maps but sometimes I'll be dicking around with looking at the sensor too much and get capped. I need bling so I can get the holographic site and sensor together because I get beat up a little bit sometimes in firefights.

Things I don't like
-A lot of these guns have selectable fire modes in real life. Why don't they have them in the game?
-Stats are way too basic. They should've taken a page from Halo 3 (in game and their website)
-Should be able to pick up ammo from dead dudes by default, rather than a perk
-Harriers hovering around and shooting at people is dumb. No Harrier pilot would ever do something so stupid in real life.
-I wish there was split screen Xbox Live play so I could play online with friends (or coworkers)

Not sure which SCAR you are using, I was picking people off across the map on the rooftop level with the SCAR / ACOG all day long. The FAMAS is by far a better long range weapon but just like the M16A in the last game it's a 3 burst gun so if you miss on that first burst and the enemy strafes slightly and has a quick trigger finger you're dead. The SCAR gives you the versatility of close-quarters combat while allowing you a lot of "back and forth" suppressive fire at long range to account for strafing.

Maybe I'm just obsessive about these things but I was just thinking that the aircraft used for close air support should be different. Clearly you would never use a B2 for air support, so why not a hornet, strike eagle, or F-16 instead? A-10 would be pretty badass too. Of course it is just a game. I mean, you wouldn't use a tactical nuke in a firefight either.

Oh, I dunno. If I had to guess, I'd say they were trying to add an international flavor to the whole thing, as a harrier IS a ground attack craft and it CAN hover over an area (although why would it) and it is probably the most immediately identifiable British aircraft out there. And really, if it didn't hover, it'd be no different from a regular airstrike now would it?

I'd think the Tornado is the most readily identifiable British aircraft. When I see Harrier, I think Marine Corps.

And if they were looking for variety in airstrikes they should've just put the A-10 in there in stead. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAPPPPP!!!

Yeah but a tornado can't hover, so you can't have this dramatic jet floating in the air shooting at people. I guess when I think of an Harrier, I immediately associate it with the country it came from, I associate Blackhawks and Ospreys with the USMC. :-p

But I agree. A-10 ftw. :bow:
