I didn't think it would work unless you're on your home wifi network, that's how I'd want to use it. Lauren could watch some chick flick and I could be sitting next to her fucking shit up in GTAV. It'd be perfect.

I live by the "Happy Wife: Happy Life" Doctrine. I believe that would be in direct violation, especially considering that I've most likely already been playing for hours when she asks to watch one of her shows.

Because I don't like getting my dick sucked in the kitchen.

Sure, I could see playing a turn based game, but you're talking about a shooter? Running on the PS4, im pretty sure it only works well on local wifi, which honestly isnt that much harder than running your console over wifi. local wifi latency should be pretty close to zero. im still amazed that a few dozen players can all connect to the same server a thousand miles or so across the *country* with dozens of server, router, and switch hops, at the same time and there be no perceptible lag.

Yea they sell it as only working well when on the same network as your console. But doable on a different network with a good enough internet connection.

I have to remind myself of that sometimes when playing iRacing with 20 other people and ONE car is jumping around a little bit because his ping is an entire half a second.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

So I've played Unity on the Xbox One and everything seems fine with it. Game looks damn amazing for a cheap console. Probably the best I've ever seen. Black Flag looks pretty good but Unity tops it off. Unity is definitely the more polished and mature game. The combat is a lot more difficult and I like it a lot.
Forza 5 sounds beautiful and looks so good. It doesn't seem like they pushed the console to the limit with Forza 5 though I feel like it could look just a bit better but they improved sound and realism a lot. Overall I think it was worth the move up from the 360 for sure. If any of you have a 360 you can trade it in for an Xbox One for $100 off I'd suggest to do it ASAP: http://microsoftconsoletrade.cexchange. ... ndex.rails

I honestly would've bought an Xbox One for Forza 5 if they didn't make it so that you had to buy a brand new steering wheel with Xbox One. My 360/PS3/PC steering works with PS4 but MSFT decided to be greedy. Forza 5 also has a lot fewer cars and tracks, which would be fine, except that they also cut several features from the previous iterations (auction house being a prime example). Then there's the microtransactions...
Still, maybe when Forza 6 drops I'll jump back in. I might stick with GT but as good as GT6 is, I miss a lot of the features of Forza.

I'm missing Forza on the PS4 but with Project CARS dropping in April and GT7 supposedly in development for 2016 I shouldn't have to suffer for long.
I also bit the bullet and signed up for PS Plus, on the off chance anyone is playing GTA Online, add me, gamertag is the same as my S/N. Trying to find friends to do missions with and who are slightly less murderous in freemode. I LOVE the game but it seems like most people prefer playing PvP death matches or causing general mayhem for their own entertainment, which is only fun for so long. So I went full nerd and picked up the Ghost edition of Destiny on Ebay for Christmas. I finally got around to hosting some pictures. I was kind of excited because I had never purchased a special edition of a game before, mostly because I thought they were all pointless. The Ghost Edition was a very limited version of Destiny that Bungie released and IIRC was sold out within a day or two. It was actually a pretty good deal at the time considering you got the game and expansion passes as part of it, which would be about $100. I really just wanted it for the Ghost figurine, but was super stoked with all of the contents of the package.
Unboxing: ![]() Top layer with Ghost figurine: ![]() Metal disc holder and lore booklet: ![]() Kind of a cool touch: ![]() Field Arms and Armaments handbook. REALLY cool, had "hand drawn notes" inside from whatever Guardian it belonged to and descriptions / concept art of some of the most popular guns in the game, characters, etc.: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Letter to Guardians: ![]() Map of the old worlds and postcards from each (really nicely done btw!) ![]() Photographs and negatives from Guardians and a Russian space age patch: ![]() ![]() ![]() The Ghost figurine itself is really, really awesome. Very well built and surprisingly heavy. It has two modes, one in which the lights pulse and blink to a motion sensor and other one where the lights pulse, blink and Peter Dinkle-bot says his little quips from the game. The edition also came with digital content which included a matching Frontier ghost shell (which is rare unless you bought a limited edition or some pre-orders), a special ship and an emblem. I looked for a while for a good Ghost figurine, found a somewhat OK 3D printed one on Etsy, but with shipping and once it was painted and had lights / sounds etc. put into it, this one was more attractive. This guy keeps me company now when we are out slaying Atheon or Crota ![]() ![]() ![]() Overall I could not have been more pleased with the thought that went into this special edition and the quality of each and every piece in it. I am not as super opposed to a limited edition of a game now if it's a game I really love (and depending on what it comes with!)

Has anyone played gang beasts? The YouTube videos make it look like it'd be pretty fun for a drunken night with friends. Might just be I'm easily entertained but i find it pretty funny with some of the commentary. I think it can be on ps4 which I don't have and I guess maybe a computer but idk how that works but I kinda want to try it although I feel like it would get boring pretty quick.
Edit: looks like they plan to put it on Xbone at some point if not already but I don't have one of those either
