So I got a letter in the mail today from my lender (Wells). Apparently they did an audit and although they correctly charged me for the services of the closing attorney, they listed it in the incorrect place on the closing documentation. So to correct it they gave me a check for the full amount ($400). Score!

That's a good call on the sod man, it's probably way easier to maintain. My wife is going the opposite direction, she's a big green thumb and ripped up a big chunk of our sod in the back to put in a flower bed

Yeah... the only problem was we had like the hottest/driest spring on record right after that was installed. We were doing a good job keeping it watered, but then we went out of town for a couple weeks and came back to a scorched yard. I've been doing a lot of seeding/feeding and it's probably at 70%. I refuse to re-sod it.
Here's a photo of the dirt lot in July 2015; taken when I had the flagpole installed.

10yr old Lawn Mower, replaced the blade and spark plug at the beginning of this season. Noticed a good amount of oil smoke on start up and shut down.
Went to cut the grass yesterday, pulled the cord, and it wouldn't budge....womp womp, motor is seized, YAY!
I was really hoping to make it through this season, and planned on switching over to EGO like I have with the Blower and Weedeater next spring.
So, I ended up grabbing the Self Propelled Ego 21in mower, came with a 7.5mAh battery that is supposed to be good for 60 minutes of run time, and a "Rapid Charger" that'll charge the battery in 1hr. It will also charge my 2.5mAh batt in half the time compared to the normal charger.
The mower folds up to take up about a 2ft x 1ft space up against the wall in the garage.
5yr warranty on mower, 3yr warranty on battery.
It did its job just as well as any gas mower I have used.
I have right at a .25 acre lot, and it handled it easily with about 25% remaining in battery. It really is weird....it just sounds like you are walking a fan around the yard, and I forgot how effortless it is to mow with a self propelled mower.
Not sure how it would do if you were trying to mow an over grown field, but it handled my grass, which had shot up to about 8 inches tall after not being able to mow due to perfectly timed rain.
I don't regret the purchase, I would recommend it if you are looking. I was gonna go Self Propelled Honda, so I wasn't too far off of that price going this route.
My neighbor got a battery powered kobalt mower and trimmer. Worked great so he got the same line pole saw. I am really impressed. I used the pole saw to cut through a 6 inch tree trunk and it was no problem. Now he has batteries for days since they each came with one.

I've been price watching the 20" EGO with 4.0Ah battery for about two months now, but haven't pulled the trigger.

Pretty sure the only thing keeping me from ordering it is my wife rolls her eyes every time I bring it up. We currently use a push mower.

I have a ryobi trimmer because ever since we fenced in our small yard it seems like our cluster's guys aren't cutting it anymore (or maybe they were trying to let our new grass grow). Trimmer works great for our tiny yard that isnt maintained by the cluster.
I share the pain of trying to get grass to grow. Ripped out 2 large bushings and 2 trees and then had to level 1/2 our yard. Its now a year later and we finally have good coverage...

Yeah, they rarely drop in price.
Just one thing I found out in researching was read the "What's in the box" carefully. There are a lot of combos of the same mower but different batt size or rapid charger vs regular.
The 20in push you linked has a 4.0mAh, and 45min run time, cut height up to 3.5in.
The 21in Self Propelled has the 7.5mAh, and 60min run time, and cut height up to 4inches. For $100 more bucks you can be lazy and not even push the mower.
It typically took me an hour to cut my yard with the gas mower, and I didnt wanna deal with swapping batteries mid way, so I had to go with the Self Propelled.
Ahhh... yeah, I see that now. Is this it?

Amazon only had the 21" without battery or the 20" with the 7.5Ah (for $800). My yard is probably 30 minutes tops, but self-propelled is a nice option.

Have fun replacing that battery at 4 or 5 years once the warranty is up - it's a $386 part.

Most lithium is good for 500 (or more) charges. Eight months of cutting is probably 30 charges, so we're talking well over 10 years of practical use... even if the capacity is somewhat diminished. I don't think I've ever owned a piece of electronics for more than 10 years.

Yep that's the one.
And not concerned about the batteries. Their rep is pretty on point, and have replaced batteries out of warranty for others.
Somebody has got to do a Roomba for a lawnmower right? Let me IoT it and cut the grass from my office.
Lawyers would love it
