I'll just assume this gentleman is someone who has not spent much time in the company of enthusiasts such as ourselves.
Everyone has their automotive likes/dislikes and I'm sure anyone could slam one manufacturer or another for whatever reason. But after you've gotten out among other people who are just out to enjoy driving their cars fast whether they be autcrossers, HPDE students, or racers you realize that there is no reason to spew hatred and and insults about one brand or another just for the sake of starting an argument. Ultimately its all about enjoying the driving experience whether you're driving a Civic, F-Body, or a 996. Only the ignorant or insecure let their egos get so caught up in their brand(s) that they have to make enemies of people who drive what they don't like.
We don't have arguments like this on the board very often because just about everyone understands this. Automotive bigotry is a waste of time and wastes opportunities to meet different people and to enjoy different interpretations of the driving machine. If you choose to be hateful in this manner then save your time and leave people alone who simply wish to enjoy automobiles and the company of like-minded people.
