Well, John showed me this topic when it first came up, and I'm just now joining the party. Welcome to my life.
My hobbies (quite a few of which I've had to give up for the time being due to my crappy job...):
Since John called me a "full time job", he doesn't get listed here.
Music, of all sorts. I know that I'm technically a professional musician, but it still ranks as a love of mine, and I still classify it as a hobby, as well as an on-the-side profession. Within that category, I take flute lessons from the UVA flute professor and play 2nd flute and picc for the Waynesboro Symphony. I also teach flute and piano.
Cooking. I've cooked pretty much my whole life, and I really do enjoy it. I just wish that I had more time and didn't do most of it as crunch time cooking.
Animals. I love our doggies! I can't believe that I survived as long as I did without little (big) fuzzy dogs running around chewing on everything and drooling all over. I've been around dogs since I was born, basically, and the only break I've had was from when I moved into my apt. in H-Burg until we got Bruce and Maggie. I did have Fern, my little evil rabbit, living in the apt with me, and we got Ivy when we came to C-Ville, but boy I love dogs.
I also try to spend as much time as I can at the local no-kill animal shelter here in Fluvanna- Caring for Creatures.
Cars. Yeah, yeah. You guys know. I still love the looks of people who don't really know me when I break out into "car speak". It's great. And, as I've told Matt- we have to be absolutely insane to stand out on grid every track weekend, in the freezing cold and blazing hot... so call me crazy. I couldn't imagine myself anywhere else.
Reading, gardening, interior design, basking under a warm spring sun on a nice breezy day...
And, I'm a self-proclaimed American Idol addict.
