firearms you say? i've been thinking of getting a handgun. anyone interested in meeting up at the nra now and then?

I got a Ruger 10 22 for christmas. I've already taken it to the NRA range once. I will probably take my girlfriend out there to shoot it this week or next week (I need to make sure they are even open right now).

10/22's are excellent. I have had one for almost 20 years now. it is a little uglier now but still pust them all in one ragged hole in the paper. Do your self a BIG favor and get several larger capacity magazines. It will burn up the 10 round one 50 times faster than you can fill it. Buy ammo in the 500 round bricks. Make sure you learn how to clean it properly. It is not hard but after several hundred rounds it gets a bit dirty and that is when it may begin to have extraction failures or stovepipes.
