UPDATE!
The headlight works smashingly now thanks to a $2.00 armature from Hillside Auto Parts in broadway, a positively killer pull-a-part junkyard out RT. 259. In fact, after I had pulled it I realized they don't take plastic and the guy said "Eh, just hit me up next time you're by."
Hell yeah!
And yes, our second day as a married couple was at least partially spent picking through a junkyard for DSM parts.
