Porsche - they claim it imrpoves wet braking performance. Ferrari.... just for the bling, I'm afraid. Ferrari challenge racers would trash a set of rotors in one weekend, I believe they successfully lobbied SF to let them use solid or slotted rotors for the race cars.
Motorcycles use them for unsprung weight - many of them use stainless steel rotors - they are lighter but the heat transfer properties and thermal capacity is not nearly as good as iron... but when you've only got 400 lbs to stop, its ok
