One of harrisonburgs GT3's wrecked

I have no "hate" towards you, and I had already complimented you several times in this thread, as I mentioned we talked briefly at the event. Unfortunately, it appears as though my compliments have proven false. You see, when someone here demonstrates a very detrimental attitude such as blaming equipment for mistakes, and since I have seen the horrible effects of an infectious attitude as such, Im going to correct it and make sure the people in my club know thats only paving the way to make more costly mistakes. You see thats what sets us apart from other car clubs that sit around and jerk off over car magazines. Experience and knowledge.

You had the chance to come in here, say the original poster had misunderstood the situation, set the record straight, and we all have a good laugh. I kept everything I said diplomatic and you could have done the same. But no, you had to come in and make a cock of yourself.

GT# Nut Wrote:The wreck in turn 4 in the fall was about tire/brake malfunction.
Of course it was. The malfunction was that you put michelin slicks on a car in cold and damp conditions. Let me introduce you to slicks, they dont work well when cold. Then when you hit the brakes, you dont have any grip (damn those brakes!), overcook the corner (those damn tires again!) and slide into a wall.
But hey, Im only in my 3rd year of instructing. You tell me how you went out on a cold day on slicks and it was the tire's fault (and a well engineered race tire, at that). Im skeptical but hey, Ive been wrong before.

Quote:My mistake in turn 10 is apparent to me, and I learned from it. I know what I did wrong, and I hope not to do it again.
Im very happy to hear that. Judging from the pics looks like a lift in southbend. Nasty place to mess up. I hope that your attitude to learn from your 2nd accident will help you prevent the 3rd. I know I learned a lot from my brush with a tirewall.

Quote:I don't claim to be pro, but lets get in any car and see who can drive.
... People that obviuosly are in touch with driving at the limit - unlike you!
you see, just as you start to sound like you have somewhat of a good attitude in there somewhere, you pull some shit like this. I guess I was wrong about you bucking the "arrogant-cock" stereotype after all.
Its very clear that you know a lot about driving over the limit, but if you want to talk shit, then how about putting your money where your mouth is. For less than 1/3 of the price its going to cost you to fix your latest fuckup, go pickup a miata, a rollbar, a hardtop and throw some decent street tires on it. Then we can see who can drive a car that requires more skill than a retarded monkey to go fast. Since we HPDE instructors just go out on track to drive parade laps, I dont know anything about driving at the limit, and you can back up your trash talk as you are surely faster than me. Of course I dont actually expect you to take me up on this, because Im sure a measly miata doesnt have nearly the ego inflating qualities you require of a vehicle.
