someone he's connected with locally (vinwiki, also based in atlanta) probably gave him a chance to tell a "funny" car story and he took the opportunity to frame it to reinforce that he's the good guy, since marketing that image of himself and his businesses appears to be the only way his brain functions. everything about the guy is self promotional, buzzword addled horseshit and his kind of egomaniacal drive for adulation is hopefully going to be his undoing, at least as far as long term acceptance in amateur motorsports. he's a menace and a toxic personality. i've been around road atlanta, you don't f around at that track, people get really hurt there all the time.
i love his "well when i was racing in europe" line. as if yellow flags only mean what they mean here in the US. if you get a comp license its fair to assume you understand how the flag system works and are familiar enough with a track to be aware of where the stations are located. currently it seems his only response is a non-apology that centers around still being salty that someone dared raise their voice to him and his checkbook.
FWIW i watched some vinwiki stuff for a while. lately, especially in the last year as their viewership grew, they've become more and more a bunch of twats basking in some increasingly awful past/present stories disguised as some kind of authentic car enthusiast core. cannonball idiocy, Rabbit basically conning people on ebay, tales of street racing, etc. now giving this sad business hack hot air bag a pedestal to spin a story. i'm done giving them views.
