Once in a while I can't connect my iPhone to my bose speaker, but I blame the speaker as it does not seem to easily put itself into discoverable mode no matter what combo of buttons you push.

My iPhone 7 is paired 24/7 with my iWatch and connects everyday to my wireless headphones no problem.
